It is not possible to hack a website. There are so many hackers who are skilled enough to do that. But I was shocked to see the threads having titles saying that etherdelta was hacked. Anyway, just stop trading in the site first, for the safety of your coins or tokens.

It's not about the decentralized exchange but it's about the DNS already hacked and then the scammer tries to put the backlink and then that makes the visitors will be automatically directed to the fake site. You may need to read more about that. This case was similar to coindash ico. The hackers were hijacking the site and then try to replace the real address with a fake address. This is same as etherdelta case.

I was shocked about this, I have many token in this exchange. But any can explain detail why decentralized exchange can be hacked? I think this is the most secure exchange because we own the private key.

I just read more news about the situation. Really as far as we know it is impossible to hack a decentralized exchange, but the question is, DNS is centralized. Centralization leaves vulnerability, EtherDelta is in trouble.

Hackers are making ways just to earn money easily, I personally have some token on etherdelta and I'm glad that Its not huge amount of money but it is still important for me. We should be more careful now because a lot of aggressive people wants to scam so many people.

This is same as etherdelta case. He only want to make him self being apart of a viral news without even read the news it self. Website hacked is different with DNS hacked. Etherdelta still have access to their site, but clients who want to visit their current domain (etherdelta.com) will directly send to another phising site that have similar interface. This is bad news. I really socked, i have many token there. I hope everything back to normal soon. Which exchange will be the most secure?
Your tokens are safe as long as you are not re-import account's private key to the phising site.

This is bad news, but its not really impossible that their website will be hacked. You just have to guard yourself from possible fraud. Keep yoir tokens safe 😉

It is very sad news that etherdelta DNS is hack. There are many hacking attacks on ethereum platefarms in last two three months. Which is very annoying. They have to more secure take more security measures to protect their clients.

Well, your best bet is to be using a hardware wallet. That way even if the site is hacked or compromised in anyway, you stand to lose nothing and of course avoid keeping your coins on exchanges, people spend years studying how to hack platforms and eventually exploit a flaw they find so be safe and keep your currencies off exchanges.

I think so too. I tried accessing that site to check price rates of my tokens but unfortunately my browser warned me that it isn't safe to enter that url so I did not continue. Good thing my browser has some sort of antivirus and security protection.

Etherdelta actually log out all the account when the DNS hack started. If you do not reload your private key to the phishing site you are definitely safe. Avoid anything etherelta for know and keep abreast of happenngs on this section!

Oh my! I saw the news. They were really hacked and 267 Ethereums were stolen. You see, no Exchange site is incapable of been hacked. That is why it is always advisable not to leave you coins in an exchange site. Even leaving it in an online wallet is not secured either not to talk of an exchange site. Anything, can happen there. Well, they have advise users not to send or use the exchange for now. The point is, the coins can't be recovered.
