I would say that I would quit already once I lose like about something worth $20,000. That might not be something big for a high roller, but that's like a life savings for small people. I guess that question should change it to dollars, as the BTC equivalent will always change through time and it would change drastically when prices change as well.

That is a hell of a lot of money to lose haha.. But let's focus on the other side instead, how many bitcoins would it take for you to walk away that you can "pocket"? Say you win a jackpot of 20 BTC, would that be enough? 30? 40?. Obviously someone losing that amount would have to be just a little bit more than crazy as I can't believe how anyone could justify continuing after even losing half of that.
If you do ask on different way regarding on how much winnings for you to stop gambling completely then i would say there would be no such amount because people are most of the time greedy when it comes to money. Im sure they would really aim for more money than on planning to quit immediately after a huge win. There would be no satisfaction as long we do know we have a money in our pocket to spend on.

Yeah, obviously that would more than often happen due to the greed but just generally speaking, how much would it take for you to walk away and never look back? Cheesy.

I've been playing around with the idea a while, I honestly think 50 BTC would be it for me. Hard to say that I'd be able to never look back but 50 BTC in my pocket would surely help Smiley.
A gambler is already a gambler. If they really want to quit the game even thought it is only 1 BTC they quit it no matter what but even though they have 50 BTC and keep telling that I will going to quit gambling now because I have enough btc to survive my life now without even do it in ACT they can't control their selves but to gamble again. Because gambling is a very addicted things that a person can't do something to quit it but to control his self and never do it again with ACTION.

Never! With more money in my wallet I would rise my bets and I would start to gamble for serious. No more 1$ buy in tournaments, I wouldn't settle with anything below 1.000$. Slots? Why to start with 50$ and wait luck to make 200$ so I can relax and play how I wish, I wouldn't even think about depositing less then 5.000$, same with roulette, dices, I would play just with big amounts. I would have special wallet for gambling, I would fill it as much as I can and after that I would be a pro, earning a lot with gambling or I would lose everything from that gambling wallet. I'm a gambler and I would like to be a professional gambler.

Definitely yes.Once a gambler will always be a gambler even if he always tells everyone that he'll not gamble again with all the money he had right now.I am naturally a gambler in my own but never an addict to it.I have set my limits for myself and for my family.Even if i will be given lot of btc's right now, still i would want to gamble in the next few days because i do not do gambling for my living, instead i do it to entertain myself and to have some fun.

It's impossible to stop gambling especially if you've won so much Bitcoin. On the other hand, most people only stop when they have got nothing left.
You are right, I don't think that people they didn't have any greed about money, even too bit greed. So even a gambler win a huge amount that he can live with it in the whole life, they want more.

Yeah, it is impossible that people stop or quit gambling if they already achieve their desire from it. Even i think gamblers play gambling more becasue they have earned from it and in gambling usually gamblers have no limitation to quit gambling in the winning stage. The reason Gamblers have no least stage of greediness.
Yes, no one can stop to gamble even he had achieved what he wanted to achieve from gambling in his life because the greed for more never allows them to sit at their place and they rely upon gambling to meet their basic life needs and for that, they simply move forward to gambling when they face financial crisis. I have also seen gamblers who are at the last stages of life but still they play gambling to earn money.
That's the thing that we need to work on if we are gambling all the time. The greediness inside of us is the only thing that comes between profit and loss. If you know how to control it and limit yourself it would be beneficial for yourself and also for your bank account. What do you even mean by last stages of life? Are they dying? Probably losing all of their money would result to that.
I think greed can never be erased as it is natural thing. But as you said, one can control his greed if can’t finish it at all because control is something that totally depends on the person himself.

If you will be the man of strong will power, then controlling greed for yourself would not be a big deal but if the case is opposite then no one can save you from meeting disastrous ends in the end of your life.
I agree with you my friend as it’s a natural thing also the people rely on gambling for meeting their basic life needs, so it becomes like a natural thing. Greed can never be erased from the person if once gets in him because he never becomes happy when he sees others very happy from their lives and he is not. This increases the greed of a person to get bigger things than he has instead of reducing it.

Who relies on gambling for basic life needs? Who makes a living out of gambling? It hardly happens outside movies and is extremely stupid to rely this much on gambling. As for greed, it varies with people, some wont ever be satisfied, some would be done with a single win and almost never return back to gambling again.
It happens but only a few people are able to pull that off, professional poker players make a lot of money but at the same time they get paid a lot of money promoting poker rooms so it is more likely they make more money writing books and promoting casinos than the money they make playing poker.

Once a person is an addict in gambling it doesn't matter how much it cost for them to play no matter how much they lose for playing, for them they always chase for winning but even they already win at the beginning still they will end as a big loser because they won't stop playing i think maybe it's different kind of excitement they felt everytime they play no matter how much or what it takes.

Again, I'm not really talking about playing and winning 50 BTC or there-abouts. I'm talking about if someone (just randomly, whatever), comes up to you and says "Hey, if you get 50 BTC now but can never again play anything gambling related or you'll lose it all, would you take it? In that case I'd be all over it. I've lived through gambling and I've "quit" a few times.. These days I can go by with just placing a $10 bet here or there every once in a while but other than that I'm doing good. I would of loved for someone to step in and give me that option a year ago though.

I do not think that I would stop gambling  because I won or lost this amount of Bitcoin.  Having a stress reliever is priceless because money can't buy us this thing even though we need money to be able to use gambling to remove stress.  It is the fun and entertainment that does it.  For me having gambling as one option to remove my daily jobs stress.. I will continue to play gambling games for entertainment sake but of course moderated regardless of Bitcoin won or lost.

For and addicted gambler, no amount of profit will stop them from gambling because they are addicts.

For reasonable people though this is not true and one might stop after winning a set amount of money. But there's no end of greediness.

In my case, I will stop after winning 10 BTC because I'll be too busy Driving my Porsche instead of Gambling^^

How many BTC it would take for you to quit gambling and why? Or, if any amount of BTC would make you quit gambling at all.

An addicted gambler is not thinking the money she or he lost but the happiness she felt during the gambling. For me as an ordinary gambler I would just simply set limits on how much I capital get from my pockets then I will use it in gambling if this capital were lose then I stop. 1 btc is enough for you to realize that gambling is not for making money but it is just for entertainment.

I think a gambler is the correct answer to your question. Haven’t you seen any gambler in your life? I think you haven’t seen them because if you really have seen, I think there was no way left for you to ask such a question. Gamblers do rely on gambling t meet their basic life needs because they are the people with no courage and words that’s why they like to earn money easily without doing efforts.

I would be happy with what I have lost in the past 2 years for me to walk away from gambling forever.
I choose not to disclose how much I have lost in that time because it brings back some memories I wish not to revisit so early on in the new year.

It is a substantial amount, let me put it this way. Embarrassed
As I think that gambling is just to have some fun, but remembering how much I lose last year makes me lonely, though from that time btc is worth
only 800$ so I'm just enjoying it but thinking it now and those spare btc if I only save it I can  call myself a millionaire now from where am I, glad
that I was able to control now and not allow myself to play too much.
Well this is just the name of the game.
You don't cry after you lose or you will just keep chasing those losses from last year and never get out of that hole.
Don't dwell on the past or you will never learn from that mistake.
Just simply move on! Wink

Well, as for will need like 50 Bitcoin if the value of bitcoin increase to $50,000 and I will also quite gambling if I loose one bitcoin at the rate of $10,000 and that is my bench mark on both side for me to quite gambling.

Hmm.. I actually had not thought about that side of it.. How much I would lose in $ if I lost 1 BTC. That's an interesting idea! I believe that right now (1 BTC = $15k) I would not like to lose 1 BTC. Even 0.1 BTC would hurt a bit haha.. 50 BTC should be enough to quit it all (If you believe value will only increase). Smiley
Can i tell one truth after winning 50 BTC again your heart will say to win 50 more BTC.
There is no end for human greediness. We will never and ever satisfy. Our target will keep on the increase until we lose our capital.
That is a big defect of people, I see people that could be described as having everything they could want and yet they always want more, if a person has 1 million dollars then that person wants 10 and if a person has 10 then he wants 20 so we need to find a way to reduce our greediness so we can have a better life.

Are you sure that you would stop gambling? So you truly see gambling as a way of earning money? If that is so you're cool, but I think most people start like that, they think about the amount they'll reach someday and stop gambling, but it never ends. And I think it's not only about greediness, I think gamblers might have serious, like, physical addiction, because as they play their organisms product and release adrenaline, which frequently comes along with endorphines and that causes euphoria and people just can't stop themselves.

Gambling is not fun; you can lose all your savings to enjoy this fun. 10 or 100 bitcoin is nothing in front of gambling. When you are addict of gambling you will lose everything. Better to stop when you feel that now it is going into debts. Don’t empty your pocket while gambling if you gamble just for fun. I play ludo for fun in free times with my friends without money but when we bet then it is not fun.

For me as an ordinary gambler I would just simply set limits on how much I capital get from my pockets then I will use it in gambling if this capital were lose then I stop. 1 btc is enough for you to realize that gambling is not for making money but it is just for entertainment.
I don’t understand this because you are telling us that you gamble just for fun and money is not important but to get the pleasure. Is it fun if you will lose a lot of money? ? You say that you are gambling for fun and will never stop. If I have just 2 bitcoins I will never gamble because 2 bitcoin is a huge amount in my country and I can start s small business with this money. I will never lose such a big money in gambling.

No more reason for them to quit enough as a gambler person. They just enjoying what they're doing. It's because they are addicted and non-stop daily working on their habbit. If you're a gambling person it's hard to stop of what you're always been doing. They collect bitcoins but suddenly they are wasting money for nothing.

I lost 500k satoshis in a hi-lo game and I never came back. The reason is not because my lost is enough is because I'm awaken to the fact that I just tried my luck and it will not end up in a good way if I still continue.

Almost 99.99% of gamblers do quit like you and I have not heard from any gambler who had quit with the reason of making enough money for his life. When gambling is not providing room for making money then how we can expect to make money for not gambling forever.

I guess OP's question is a complete mythical as it is not based on any relevant incidents. Also I am afraid these types of questions will lead innocent people to keep trying in gambling with their hard earned money forever with the goal of achieving some big amount of bitcoins but we all are well aware of the final outcome.

I mean to say we should not encourage to have such topic for discussing mythical facts about gambling. Our discussions should be about spreading awareness on positive and negative aspects of gambling.

I am an occasional gambler before who use to lose more than amount I win after of about half a year gambling and realizing how much value in fiat all the btc I lose in gambling already if I just keep them safe in my wallet that became one reason why I stopped and as of now I just keeping myself watching graphs on trading sites and growing my btc little by little and doing microtask in exchange of coins to trade for btc.

For addicted gambler I don't think so that they will stop gambling whether they win or not. It has been part of their life.

Same with you, I'll stop if I got 10 BTC earning not only by means of gambling but all of my bitcoin resources like trading, investment, etc. I think it is more than enough for me to have my own business, to have lots of mining rig, and let my children study till college and have a vacation. All of these are my dreams that will come true if I got 10 BTC or more.

I will stop once I reach 100 BTC with current FIAT price. That would be 1.5 mln dollars and I would be very happy to never gamble again or ever visit a casino again. I can start my own business, buy the house I always wanted, be my own boss, and keep a part in bank as savings. Why to continue to gamble when you have the lifestyle you always wanted ?
