I've got snowgemd running with mining enabled.

how long does it take to see mining results using a cpu? will getunconfirmedbalance show mining progress?

Also is there a way to increase the default number of threads? I have access to a fairly fast server with 24 cores which will still be cpu mining, but will be a considerably higher sol rate than my laptop!

in your snowgem.conf

genproclimit=24

for 24 cores, if I recall correctly.

I just found my first block solo mining but it doesn't appear in my balance. Am I missing something?

In other words, how much is the block maturity? 100?

Did you try with the name: Snowgem? Upper case of the first character?

Yes, it's autocreated folder and there is no difference between cases, I tried. I don't know what am I doing wrong.

Please use the latest version here: https://snowgem.org/downloads/snowgem-1.0.1-windowsx64.zip

However, windows wallet has a bug that it can't sync after block 829 while Linux can.
At least, you can create a wallet to mine.

Thanks,
Txid.

For you, is too hard to creating a GUI wallet ?

Currently, we don't have enough time to add it.
In the future, it's one of the main thing we will do. Swing wallet is not support all the features of a normal QT wallet and it's the first condition for the future features.

I getaddress with "snowgem-cli.exe getnewaddress"... i got an address.. how can i see the balance of the wallet? i used getbalance, but dont work..thanks for reply

It'a appear right after the command. Start with s1.

Windows wallet 1.0.1.
Can't seem to get past this point...

If you use Linux, you should us this one: https://snowgem.org/downloads/snowgem-1.0.0-linux64.tar.gz

Could you give some images of your setting?

The version i386 of your laptop is not suitable for Linux wallet.

It is a new coin so this is always hard to tell early on.

If you think it has a future, then sure it could be a good longer term decision. As of right this second there are maybe other coins that are more consistently profitable.
