I disagree with this one. first of all hackers are there anywhere and the thing is ether delta do immediate reaction towards the malicious attack and they immediately shut down their sites.. ether delta is safe and if you use metamask you are totally safe. I think they wil not operate again if they are not sure of how security of their client like us and to others .

I totally agree with you, as long as you use metamask, etherdelta is very safe, don't be scared guys!

EtherDelta! Dear forum participants, what do you think about how to continue working, because there is no alternative to this exchange yet, and it is not possible to trade safely any more. What alternative can you offer?

I still have some hope that the EtherDelta exchange team will still warn their users that they have an alternative and we will be able to safely withdraw funds

Now etherdelta is safe to use, but fear will not go easly. It may be happened on any exchange not only etherdelta. So we have to take safe side for our tokens/coins that we have not store our holdings on any exchange for long time, keep there only when you go to trading. Also use the browser in safe mode. Use metamask for more safety.

i still hope etherdelta will have a maximum security for their servers because etherdelta is the one popular big exchange in the cryptoworld. etherdelta is so easy to use by importing ERC20 wallet. You can contact etherdelta for losing your tokens. Here's a tip, dont deposit if you will not exchange it to eth. Dont let tokens stay on etherdelta.

Once an exchange has been hacked, it becomes very difficult to trust its security in future again. At least for a long while.

What a nonsense...wish it was true, then people would not trade at lousy exchanges like poloniex, cryptopia, yobit etc. And those exchanges would not have any right for existence.

Most of my coins are stolen at centralized exchanges (cryptsy and poloniex), because i was so naive that I thought that I could trust my coins there.
Still wonder why poloniex is running, while my ticket which I raised 6 months ago is still "under investigation".

I have learned the hard way, and I consider my coins only safe in my hardware wallet, and change or trade my coins only at decentralized exchanges (like etherdelta or shapeshift).

It is indeed frustrating. There's no word from etherdelta yet regarding safety. Its better to stay away for now. There are a lot of exchanges that has been closed due to hacking incidents and this is not good.

I suppose it's safe enough, but before any action I'd like to check everything - the GUI first of all. During the hack it was obvious enough that GUI has been changed a little. Second thing is to use only Metamask or Ledger Nano S/Trezor to trade there.

Traffic is so slow at EtherDelta that it's not even worth trading there right now. It seemed safe enough when I went; My Metamask lost my info and I had to reenter my secret words but nothing got lost or stolen. That may have just been my fault lol.

As a relative newbie to the place I stupidly deposited a substantial amount of erc20 tokens meaning to trade, then I found the exchange so confusing It took a couple of days of delays before I started to work the place out. In that two or three day period the hack occurred, but luckily my coins stayed where they were. My heart goes out to anyone who lost coins, but my understanding was that the hack (if you can call it that) was based around leading users into a dummy etherdelta clone site. To me this isn't a hack in the traditional sense, more of a hijack that breaking into the existing site.

If my understanding of the issue is wrong then I stand corrected.

The problem was and it exists, Despite the fact that the administration of the ether Delta claimed that there were attacks on their servers, Although they reassured that there are no problems and everything is safe. That's just a warning that in the last 2 weeks no one used the service. But apparently, I lost coins not only on the slopes of scammers.

I don't think EtherDelta is scam or any such thing. It is safe and as good as myetherwallet to store Eth smart tokens. The Point is that hackers can attack any site and nothing is 100% safe these days on the internet. I can also see some posts on twitter in which the authorities has claimed that everything is under control and there is no need to worry anymore.
Everything is not 100% absolute, so you are the guardian of your property.

The rate at which etherdelta is being hacked  yearly calls for great caution from everyone, ensure you do not have you coin stocked there, The team managing the exchange need to hire more experience professional,to creat more level of security for there site

As of now it is really at your own risk to use this kind of platform, its been several times that this things happened before.
As mush as possible I will avoid to use this exchange but if I don't have a choice I will still use it then once I'm done on selling my coins I will exit at once.

Its ironic that the hackers, who were the initial advocates of digital currencies will inevitably be the ones who wreck what they advocated.

Its also ironic that the same hackers who want to be rich through whatever means will be so through fiat currency, the very thing they hate and seek to de-stabilise.

Makes you wonder what the hell they really want.

Many exchange like etherdelta but not too popular so not many users trade on there. Bookmark the right website of etherdelta. Don't use private key on decentralized exchange, it's more safer use metamask.

I say create a new wallet whenever you're going to use etherdelta, and transfer only what you intent to sell. Don't import your main wallet that has all of your Eths.

That's just an extra precaution, over all I think it's safe, just have to be careful.
