Wow just downloaded the Alpha Android App and was mining coins on the test network for a bit, very cool watching the miner collect the PHM coins.

Is there sounds or other things coming to the final version of the app?

Why using a PoW algorithm? Wouldn't be a PoS algorithm in terms of power consumption more useful for a mobile device?

yes but to use pos you must have matured coins already in your wallet
pow is good from the very beginning let people get coins only by let the mobile devices work a bit to generate coins without needs of buying them.
and after that you have pot energy saving solution

Mobile mining has to be taken seriously, because it's the next step in cryptocurrencies and mining. We are in a new generation of mining, cpu thought, not gpu or asics here. Mobile mining is here, phoneum devs are the pioneers on true mobile mining.

People has been generally reluctant to use smartphones and tablets to mine, but the possibilities are there. I'm on to this project, it's going to be profitable and the most, prosperous. Mobile mining as I previously said, is the next step on mining, because your energy needs are lower, also the generated heat is lower, but the performance is where you see why you need to give a shot.

If you have an entry level smartphone(4 cores, at least 1 GHz per core, 1 GB of ram and Android 4 to 5 inches screen, for this case scenario), you can make an estimated 4~4.2 phm per hour, anyways your mileage may vary, still its a good measure and it gives an idea of how much can you earn.

Phoneum has a good future, it has the blessing of the start of the year. But away from superstition, it's future is in the good odds. That's my humble opinion, my two cents.

You're welcome and yeah, I'll be here . And about the app, when will it be officially out?, because as far as I know, its a testnet nor just a test of the behavior the app will have on our devices. I'll be waiting, but still its a lot of time, hehe.

Well mobile mining is the hot discussion in the market and I hope this one does some wonders. Earlier there were few projects that were launched and then died soon as the people behind this project were not able to deliver/manage the show. The latest one that I can think of is Electrum...if I got the name right. They also have mobile miner but then everything is delayed and they were not able to meet the deadlines that they set earlier hence lot of people lost interest in their project.

I hope this one kicks in well and the project is able to meet all benchmarks.

I really like the idea of mobile first cryptocurrency, and will be trying your testnet.

One thing I noticed is that the whitepaper isn't very detailed. We really need more technical information about the tech behiind your coin and how it'll work and scale.
