Thanks for this kind of topics, I am learning more about bitcoins and its forks. I don't really like it when someone steals an idea and in the end, they tend to make it their own. As I observe it, forks are now trying to destroy bitcoin's name which is a nasty propaganda.

I understand that people don't like it's existence and the sentiment around the whole BTC/BCH situation, but BCH isn't a shitcoin like 90% of the crypto currency currently listed on Coinmarket.

Let's be real, the only reason why Bcash is relevant is because of the name "Bitcoin", otherwise, it would be trading around the $5-$10 range. It is nothing more than a shitcoin that has shady people with big pockets supporting it behind the scenes and uses the name of BTC just to confuse/manipulate people and crypto newcomers into buying it.

Give this man a prize. It's incredible to me how many people forget that the ONLY value Bcash 'seems' to have is derivative value leeching off the Bitcoin name.

So,whoever wish to drive on BCH better sell their coins before coinbase's issue of free coins.I hope it may also be the end of BCH.
There's going to be a massive BCH dump in Jan 1 but I don't think it's going to be the end of Bcash. Unfortunately, this altcoin has a lot of support behind, from exchanges, crypto influencers, and big companies (coinbase, bitmain, cnbc, etc), to the thousands of people who fell for this scamcoin, and they're not going to let Bcash die. Altcoins always find a way to survive in the crypto market, and Bcash will not be the exception.
Don't get me wrong, I hate Bcash and all crooks that support this scamcoin (Roger, Jihan, Armstrong, etc etc), but i believe we're not going to see it disappear in the short-term.

Lightning will put the kibosh on those crooks. Think about it, what else do they have going? 24/7 they keep parroting the same line that Bcash transactions cost less.

I actually believe the other way around.
Bitcoin is on its technical limitation's edge at the moment. In 2018 some Altcoin will take its place.

I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on Bcash over the coming months and years and will be dumping mine for some new upcoming alts in the future
Don't dump your BCH, Its going to rise in value just as bitcoin is currently doing but i don't think its going to rise as quickly as it is. BCH has already reached and surpassed $1000 in a space of six months and will continue to reach new heights so keep on holding it and don't dump.

BCH is a monopulative coin aimed at destroying bitcoin.
I hope the year 2018 will put everything in its place.

It's pretty clear Bitcoin Cash isn't going anywhere.  If people say Ver and others are pumping it, well they aren't going to walk away are they?    I swept and cashed out months ago thinking nothing would come of it, but here we are 3rd highest market cap, a $3,400 price and supported on many entry exchanges.  Time to accept reality its a major part of the landscape, the only question is whether it will catch Bitcoin.

It's really not their decision. What are they going to do with a pointless altcoin? It will have no purpose whatsoever once Lightning Network goes live on Bitcoin. At least Bitcoin Gold chain will always have something unique to offer being ASIC resistant.

BCH have no value in the absence of BTC, and any trader will convert his BCH back to BTC when he gets enough
profit frofit from it because Bitcoin is the only trustworthy cryptocurrency.
BCH will die but not as soon as you expected, I don't think it will be in 2018 anyway.
Obviously, BCH has no future, because just increasing the block size to 4 Mb will not solve the scalability issue.

Bitcoin cash will die during the next year, we all know that.
It has only been created to be a money grab for Roger and his friends from the mining pools, nothing more than that, otherwise, this coin is useless.

My thoughts are a bit different than you, its hard for it to die as there are some powerful people within bitcoin community that are backing it up. Plus they have their campaign again BTC in order to grab more people: Like telling that bitcoin cash is real bitcoin and that real one is run "by evil" people who don't want good for bitcoin. I laugh every time when I read their articles/ hear them talk about bitcoin.

On the other hand there were ETH and ETC split where forked part is now the leading one due to support of main devs, but BCH to overtake bitcoin is unlikely at least for now.

BCH have no value in the absence of BTC, and any trader will convert his BCH back to BTC when he gets enough
profit frofit from it because Bitcoin is the only trustworthy cryptocurrency.

I think that they raised block size till like 8MB or I am wrong? Anyway it is a good temporary solution. I do believe that even BTC should raise block sizes at least like 1.5MB-2MB even in future when most people use LN there will be need to do on-chain transactions.

As many people have already said, increasing the blocksize isn't the perfect solution. Even if we decided to do it, we would have to do the same thing again due to increasing Bitcoin popularity. Don't you think that 10 minutes between each block is not enough for microtransactions? Of course it isn't and that's why Lightning Network is one of the best solution we can introduce. Transactions are instant but quite complicated when you first hear how it works.

The only reason Bitcoin Cash exists is the incompetence and arrogance of some developers.

There is 97% of the world who lives on  $1 a day because of the inflation of the currency of their corrupted country and bitcoin should be their freedom but looks like bitcoin is freedom only for the rich who can invest more than $10K.

Venezuela has 10'000% inflation this year, yes you saw it right ... ten thousand %! Do you think people would benefit from Bitcoin to protect themselves from a dictatorship and the hyperinflation? You bet you do but actually they cant, their salary is $50 a month (the ones who are lucky and next month would be probably $25) and how they are supposed to buy bitcoins if the fee is $20 per transaction?

I don't know who is right or who is not, I just know that if you don't live in US and you have a salary of $2000 a month is impossible to use bitcoin, if it was usable Bitcoin Cash would be crashed in seconds.

I hope instead of spending time with trolls and insulting people, on twitter or here, we can spend some time to review the vision if bitcoin and how to make it relevant not only for a rich country but especially for who is in need.

Cheesy nah bitcoin cash is going to probably dominate in 2018.  If you don't think it's at least a serious contender then you're getting misinformation.  Go to reddit.com/r/btc for the real uncensored discussion.

bcash has optimism in cryptocurrency, steps to sell BTC assets until sold and BCH development is an ambiguous runway's in its journey. they are very optimistic to replace the real money in the bank. while someonea looking for profit in cryptocurrency, BCH have a long breath.

Hi guys,

I am fairly certain that in a couple of months Bcash will be worth much more that its current value! In the long term I really don't care, but for sure bcash will thrive in 2018.

Stop with calling it Bcash, Roger will be offended and might show you middle finger. Lets put joke a side huh, I believe it will exist in 2018, because some influential people are behind it. We have conflict in our opinion and it is normal: for me personally everything that bitcoin cash offers differently is what they market transaction speed and transaction fees. By looking to many alts we can see that all of them offer faster confirmation time and fees compared to bitcoin. Even bitcoin cash will need to scale in coming years at one point if they get mainstream adoption - I guess they will continue to raise blocks in the long run.

However main thing that they have as an advantage over other altcoins is that they are forked as better version of bitcoin. Giving holders the chance to have both coins puts them in better place since if you had bitcoin you had bitcoin cash to play with, how cool is that. Plus having bitcoin in their name and calling it "real" , "true" bitcoin when they advertise it.

But in reality there is no true bitcoin everybody can do their forks as we see now that forks are frequent. Its the community there that separates them from others because you have people that can't handle cost and slow transactions - in my opinion bitcoin should at least provide temporary solution because LN is slow to implement, not because it is some new high tech but because of companies and people don't dividing enough time to make it happen and make it right.

Bitcoin cash has certain advantages over the original bitcoin, associated with some of its improvements. Whether it is centralized, time will tell and the market will be appreciated. As long as the price of cash in cash is raised to almost $ 3,000, it is a real proof of its value and community support. I think that the bitcoins must be competitive with each other and develop mutually.

It has been a strong feeling that BCH is controlled by large funds. And before the arrival of the pre - dug, this is not acceptable. In addition, there are many exchanges that support BCH trading, so it won't die so quickly in 2018, and it should shrink the total value quickly.

Spot on ... the necessity is NOW, by 2018 some countries might be already dead economically, they can't wait for LN, their economy won't be on hold to allow programmers to take their time!

I think Bitcoin developers should take a humility bath and think differently, the interview I saw with Roger is a display of arrogance and stupidity. Like him or not (I hate the way he markets bitcoin cash) he raised good points and arguments being always respectful while the other guy spent all hour trolling him and changing topic without any real argument. In that case, he had all the reason to show the finger to someone that to me looked like a disrespectful kid "I can't stop calling it Bcah because it's in me" ... are you serious? and you are supposed to be a leader in the project that is changing the world?
