What caused all the price drops?

Almost all the altcoins (and bitcoin too) went down alot yesterday. Does anybody have a clue what caused this major drop?

this is a market and many users play big investors or dealers and this also affects the weakening dollar and this unstable market affects bitcoin.

there are no special factors that cause the price to fall, I think this is a reasonable cycle in the world of cryptocurrency because prices fall and rise can happen anytime. so I think this could be one way to trade and get when the price goes down and up.

There is too much FUD on the entire market and that is causing all the prices to go down, this is normal but i do not understand why there is such amount of fud that seems to be unlimited.

It might be a reason but for me the main reson is the declined in price of bitcoin , as we can see bitcoin goes down , and all of the other coins goes down too, the reason for that is bitcoin is the foundation of all coin so what ever happens to bitcoin will also happen to other cypto , although I am not saying that it will entirely affect the coin but it reallhas an effect to a coin because bitcoin is the father or the king of all coin .

Maybe because the Christmas and New Year's Day is coming soon it will quickly come. and sometimes some of them are transferring some of their cumulative bitcoins to having a lot of fiat money so they can speed up the things that are needed for christmas entry. All projects, coin over values and bubbles in past now it needed a strong correction and likely a test for people faith. Weaker will leave and only whale is winners

In my opinion this deep that is happening at the moment is commonly caused by correction. The price now is too much for some coins to worth for. This could be understandable that the time will come when the prices will at its average price.

Anyone in the country can actually make the price of cryptocurrency to drop, fud in other countries that are spreading , alleged hackers in the korea who are changing the price in the market, everyone can make the price of cryptocurrency to dump if they have a name like businessman or famous people.

There is no global negative news background. Is that news about breaking the Korean stock exchange. I think that the situation we are now witnessing is pure manipulation with the aim of knocking out weak players from the market.

for me its because of the season, and also because of dropping of BTC so that the other(altcoins) will automatically drop there price too. but dont worry it will rise again.

Price drops are caused by people dumping. The major price drops are caused when whales are dumping in a bid to manipulate the prices of the coins to their own advantage so they can buy at a cheaper price. That is why we tell people to not panic sell when they see the prices going down because they are just contributing to the price drops.

yes, and if bitcoin price is down then the altcoin will get the effects too. but I think it's not effective for all altcoin because if you check in the market, there still an altcoin that is not getting impact with the down of the bitcoin price and the price of that coin still increase although it cannot getting too high. besides that, the news will take a part of the price drops and people panic will be the next reason for the price drops.

It seems that most of altcoins are recovering after dropping. Althought Bitcoin is dropping but it does not affect to altcoin like last period. These good altcoins are keep rising except Pump and Dump altcoins
