The reason for the fall in the overall cryptos was due to the big impact on the stock market as the stock market was always RED. Almost all the altcoins (and bitcoin too) went down alot yesterday. Does anybody have a clue what caused this major drop?

One suspected for this problem of drop price value is pumping up of so many kind altcoin in different project with zero value, didnt say all alts but some had. This kind of thing make investor confuse and some will back out because they think on risky situation and got loss of profit.

Cryptocurrencies are volatile. The value may go down today but tomorrow it may rise up higher than before. History shows that the percentage that the price goes up is much higher than when the price is going down. So the chances to succeed is still much higher. I will not be afraid to invest in crypto today.

In the market, the crypto currency can not be a constant growth or decline, so this situation is the norm, and we should use this by buying the coins we are interested in at reduced prices, since after the reduction there will necessarily be a rise in prices.

Agreed , It is volatile in every way I think there are so many reasons for the price drop, maybe the whales are manipulating the price, or the media whos speculating and spreading bad news, maybe the week holders the panic sellers or the traders who are weak handed, there are so many reasons why the market is down.

Hmm, I'll give it a shot. Bad news happens for a particular coin, coin A. Holders of coin A sell, causing the price to drop. Holders of coin B, C, and D see this price drop. They decide to sell coins B, C, D, so that they have money to buy coin A. This causes the price of coins B, C, D to drop. Holders of coins E, F, G see the prices of coins B, C, D drop. They sell coins E, F, G, so that they can buy B, C, D. This causes the prices of E, F, G to drop. Etc. Etc.

All of this causes the prices of all of these coins to fluctuate greatly. This scares people holding the coins as they see the value of their coins dropping. They sell, out of fear that their coins will drop even further. This drives the price down even further.

All of this continues until the scared people are either out of coins to sell, or they stop being scared. They buy back into coins again causing the price to rise, and the whole cycle repeats.

Almost everytime bad events happen and results in a not so good situation in the market. FUD is always in the heart of the investors. It is so easy for a coin to decrease in value and so hard to make it up again. So I guess the real cause of all of these is the maturity of the investors and skills such that they could predict certain loses and to avoid it they trade their coins before they will lose a lot if prices should go down. So in other words they are playing safe now.

in my opinion, there is no cause of the decline in all prices but I know one cause of the fall in market prices is the bear market crypto then the market becomes less stable, and so now that I see the market price of crypto has recovered and we just wait altcoin and bitcoin prices returned

I think that a large part of the reason for the market decline is because the bull market has been in the market, because it has been too crazy in the last bull market, so it will last for a while, we need to hold our coins patiently waiting.

Since january too many FUD and bad news continue exist in the market and this thing make many investor and trader sell their crypto asset. High fluctuacion of crypto is really high since they tradeable and the price too sensitive with bad news and FUD. The reason for all of the price drops is obviously due to so many people selling their coins and cutting their losses at this point. Also whales are manipulating the prices of the coins so that they can buy the coins at the cheapest prices. The people that are panic selling are not helping matters as well.
