In your opinion, What will be the top 5 alt coins to shine in 2018?

First off, I read all 17 pages of posts here and it rather makes me want to throw up seeing so many people wishing XRP to be a top alt coin.  Spend a bit of time and learn more about what that project is, plz, folks.  Thought I'd get that outta the way.

If you’re looking for which alt-coins will be in the top 5 at the end of the year, then you’re looking for ETH, NEO, XLM, BCH and XEM or DASH (or possibly another platform project).  People are soon going to start realizing what XRP is.

If we think in terms of the potential top 5 gaining tokens, then it's a completely different story.  Those projects releasing their platforms, bringing in new customers and increasing the utility of their tokens would likely have the biggest chances to increase in value, eh?  Think 10X, 15X, 20X+.  How about STRAT or LSK, HT or BNB, STEEM, WAN and NAS?  I’d say these ones have a darn good chance of all min 10X-ing this year when taking into considerations platform releases / utility / small supply.  I can see ONION, XZC, XSPEC, NAV, PIVX and some other privacy coins with small supplies doing the very same thing. I can see XRB having a big jump in value for the plentiful, across exchanges arbitrage opportunities it will soon provide.  My bonus, off the wall, outta nowhere call is a project not enough people know about… Nimiq (NIM). Check it out, their mainnet launches soon.

BAM.  The next 11 months is gonna be quite the ride so grab onto the nearest handrails and let's get this roller coaster moving!

OK here is my list :
1. EOS
Eos is going to finish their ico in may, so we all waited for year and soon we can see another success of dan and graphine engine.

2. Neo

Chinese regulators can allow ico in their country anytime and currency in ico will be neo , so many potential there.

3. Dogecoin

Its coin just with pure hoke intention, but its year of a DOG and best commission between transfer , definitely doges can be in up raise.

4. Etherium
Etherium working now on scale to process more transaction , so i hope Buterin will make it works and we will see raise from top2 to top1  of a coin.

5. Binance coin

I like this coin because it make all transaction cost less in binance and every few months, binance destroy coins for 1-2 millions, so there is less and less coins, so price will raise for sure.

1.civic - a unique project based upon the idea of identity verification with help of blockchain technology.
2. Verge -a coin based upon the idea of complete privacy whose transactions are completely anonymous.
3.siacoin - a project based upon the idea of decentralized cloud storage with help of blockchain technology.
4.litecoin - similar to Bitcoin but almost 4 times faster than Bitcoin.
5. Ripple - a project based upon the idea of global value transfer which has tremendous amount of potential to grow.

2: LTC  verge coin ( affordable to purchase in a good amount and it has nearly increased by more than 1k% in a month )

According to me, the top 5 cryptocurrencies which will surely grow in 2018 are CIVIC, VERGE, LITECOIN, MONERO and Bitcoin. Civic is a coin based upon the platform of identity verification with help of blockchain technology. Verge is a privacy coin which can surely boom in 2018. Litecoin is rumored to be the first crypto to come in mainstream. Monero can easily surpass the 2000$ make within 2-3 years for sure.
Bitcoin is the master of all crypto and has tremendous amount of potential. It will surely be above 50000$ by end of 2019 for sure.
