My recommendation of two good altcoins to invest is XVG and IOTA, as the price of both coin increases slowly

Theyre both over priced by now and everyone who is into cryptocurrency trading have already heard about it. If you want a gem then you should be looking at Burst. On 2018, it will be one of the best performing cryptocurrencies in terms of development.

When development is at a high level, the price always follows lol. Read the whitepaper. It was just released today.

I am considering buy two altcoins, can anyone give some recommendation? I have about $1000 to invest in altcoin.

IOTA, i think this altcoin have a potential to grown up because have a strong fundamental structure coin and i hold this coin now hopefully i gain a profit this by 218, many investor now like IOTA to hold because they know that it has a big potential coin.
The next ethereum for short term hold because it's moving like bitcoin and litecoin for long term hold steady price value but i'm sure it will rise up after 3 to 4 years soon.

Doge and Darico. I think they will have a rapid growth in the near future, if Bitcoin develops, then so do they, this is the meaning of altcoins.  
DOGE should show growth until May, in the case of Darico, then to implement the project they need very little confidence, I think that the reinforcement of funds with gold, will give them the required level of confidence.

XRP i think you well know shuch usefull coin
XLR less known currently but with huge potential. zerocoin protocol, POS,POW, masternodes and also fast payment and not little fees.
