100% because some people needs money for holidays so they need it and i think its more good to bought some coin again because all coins decreased and it will bump again by the end of holidays do keep holding it if you have bitcoins or other alt coins.

I withdraw some for the holidays and I think it is the cause too of the drop in price. I have seen some people too who gifted their family and friends with coins instead of the traditional gifts because they know that it would be valuable in the future. If ever someone would have given me coins too then I would be much grateful for it. Now that we are in the new year then money will be flowing in knowing that there is already an exposure of it late last year getting the attention of more investors. Altcoins are also getting higher percentage in the total market capitalization so rapid movements of bitcoin has lesser impact compared before.

I highly doubt that this was the case. So many people would have to pull out for this to be the case. It's possible that it's the reason that the entire downfall started, but I don't think it's a major reason. If anything, it's mostly people who are nervous after they see BTC drop by a couple of hundred. Regardless, we're on the come up again, as we always have been after drops like these, and I don't think we'll be affected too much by this drop in the future.

I actually think that it's the opposite because since people got all sorts of bonuses during this season, it's a good time for them to use those money they gained and invest it in whatever cryptocurrency venture they choose to, which in turn, would actually boost the price of some cryptocurrencies, or specifically, bitcoin. Also, I think it just so happened that the surge came in late last year, having started around November and carried on through December.

I agree with that statement. As far as the deep discounts of the market are usually associated with the big holidays. You can see that this year before Christmas and New Year, the market fell very seriously.

I think it did because if you would take note, the start when bitcoin began to stabilize is around the last week of December. This is the period nearing the Christmas Season; I agree that during this season many people need money to spend for yuletide-related expenses like gifts, food, and other things. Which meant that, maybe, some people withdrew their coins and converted them to case, since it was also the perfect time because that's when bitcoin had it's highest record value. The more bitcoin went out the market, the more supply there was, which maybe affected it price to go down.

Selling bitcoin decrease the demand so i believe Xmas and holiday seasons caused the drop of price. Before Christmas the price was normal and touching almost 20k when the event come near bitcoin start drooping. I believe people start selling it to buy some gifts to there relatives. But now after new year, bitcoin is back on track and we are again now moving towards 20K and even more in the coming days.

Me too, personally i don't withdraw my bitcoin this holiday season,  because based on the chart of the bitcoin the price is going up so i have thought that i should hold it more because it can get much higher but suddenly it went down. So, i think the one major factor that causes the bitcoin to drop is the people who withdraw this holiday. Because bitcoin's price is supply and demand basis.

Everyone has been selling some from their stash and that's why the price started to fall as it was everyone's force that made the price of each altcoin to go down. And it reflected to the whole market that from bitcoin down to the very tiny altcoins that has a very low market cap, everything was turned into red and even until now it's not yet recovering. Also some FUDs are also a way to cause the price of bitcoin to drop.

I do not think that this is connected with the holidays. Judging from me, I did not take anything from my wallet to buy gifts, and therefore did not change any currency. Perhaps many have spent their bitcoins on gifts and therefore the price has increased, but personally I expect more and do not change anything.

I agree with you i personally think that they did indeed drop the prices because of holiday season and Christmas i think it will be worth the wait because they are going to rise again.
