Hi People
Help would be appreciated on understanding how the ELA is used by partners. Do they require to purchase coins in order to use ELA?
If so who is using ELA right now?
Thanks
I found in Google that Huawei and Alibaba their partners. But on their site any info about this... Any idea if this true or not? Are they still going use Elastos blockchain or this were just for adversiting?

I see you've removed your post but know that a possible exception is that of a programmer who would absolutely like to keep his computer running in his absence. He can therefore program an infinite loop, making sure that he can interrupt it whenever he wants.

What do you mean by "decentralized internet"? Its just a speculation as like as many others projects do too. They even will not have own OS as were promised...

You can see how it works on the example of Hyper messenger, which can be downloaded from Google store. That messenger enables conversations and video calls in a completely decentralized way, without using servers. By using Carrier there is no threat of eavesdropping or tracking users, or blocking connections from specific countries. Soon it will have an integrated cryptocurrency wallet (Elephant) and decentralized ID. The dApp browser Trinity will be released at the end of this year. Over time, Trinity will have a store with truly decentralized dApps, independent of a centralized service providers like Google. Among the Suggestions on the Cyber Republic website you can find proposals for building apps https://www.cyberrepublic.org/suggestionand also in this competition, where similarly you can receive funding https://discuss.elapp.org/

The first Elastos sidechain supporting smart contracts is now publicly available https://news.elastos.org/elastos-ethereum-sidechain-live-for-public-use/A small reminder: This smart contract platform is 100% compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, and is secured with Bitcoin miners vast computing resources (thanks to merged mining). Decentralization is double protected by Bitcoin miners which have the right to construct blocks, and the validation layer of 108 supernodes selected by voting. Scalability is potentially infinite - first by adding more sidechains as needed, and then by using other components of the system, which will be ultimately a network OS. You can check the current Elastos hashrate here https://repl.it/@CC3/Hashrate-calculatorDApps developers! If you are looking for scalability and security for your projects, I invite you to the Elastos Academy website https://elastos.academy/where you can find helpful information and find out about the current state of project development.

And they are being developed by third parties developers, not just Elastos team, right?

Elastos develops in three directions: - infrastructure development, the Foundation is solely responsible here - projects that have obtained funding from Cyber Republic (CR is gradually taking over management from the Foundation) - projects based on the Elastos infrastructure, without financing from Cyber Republic

Elastos difficulty tracks Bitcoin difficulty, so individual mining would not make any sense. But you can mine ELA by mining Bitcoin in f2pool, for example. You only need to add Elastos payout address in your mining account. List of Elastos mining pools (but it's possible that not all share the profits) https://miningpoolstats.stream/elastosBecause of hybrid conensus mechanism, there is also an option of staking. The profitability at the moment is about 6-7% https://elanodes.com/

The moment is coming when the community will completely take over project management. There is still time to vote for the members of the first democratically elected CR Council. Which will replace the current interim Council.
The voting time will end at block height 658930 (approximately on June 10, 2020).
Elastos has the chance to be the first IT project governed entirely by the community, without the possibility of being taken over by exchanges or whales.
The community has the right to veto the decisions of the Council, veto is effective if the number of votes reaches 10% of circulating supply. Council members may also be removed before the end of their term of office. The threshold of votes for impeachment is 20% of circulating supply.
