The dip has nothing to do with segwit2x, is just the usual bouncing , with volume being 2x lower than during the last drop on 22.
It's the holidays, slow fiat transfers and the usual fud about txs that affecting the price more.

We cannot attest if the drop in bitcoin price was due to the fork that is currently happening because couple of weeks ago bitcoin value is really on a fluctuations moment and it really pump and dump so hard that we can't anticipate when it will go pumping like it use to last few months. Really bitcoin at this moment is unpredictable and this isn't because of any fork I guess this is somehow an adjustment in the value before closing of year 2017.

bitcoin is falling in small increments in the last few weeks or so. I think that before new year its gonna plunge to around 11-12k, possibly 10ish. people are cashing out and i think people will cash out just before a fork too. im trying to invest in other cryptos at the moment because its smaller risk and possibly better long term as it has a chance to shoot up and is more affordable for the masses.

fee of $40 to shift BTC to the exchange is far to high but really i want people to sell B2X to crash the price

Bitcoin is still on a correction and look on how the market is affected with it. Most of the coins in the marketcap is affected and this is not because only of segwit2x but this is a major correction that is happening and all of those coins are included.

Yes agree that 30% swings are nothing and quite normal but what is not normal is the mega high transactions fees
so now we are sailing in un-chartered waters and Joe public is not going to risk his $200 on this ride if the fees

Please be reminded that this fork is not the real Segwit2x! This has nothing to do with the cancelled fork that happened this november. You can check the developers of this coin, this is just another altcoin that cloned the blockchain of bitcoins much like bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, bitcoin diamond, or whatever scam bitcoin fork that happened in the past.

This could have not been the reason of the price drop of bitcoins. The recent drop was clearly due to the correction of the price and not this poser coin. Do not be fooled by this coin.

I think also the same. With fork, price of bitcoin should be higher because bitcoiners want to get free coin mean they will have much more money if convert to fiat or more bitcoin if its used to buy bitcoin.

Just a short period where Bitcoin seems to be dipping but as usual from the beginning of hard fork occurrences, it will recover swiftly and get back to as much as the previous highest mark. B2X was expected to have more of an impact but its price being below $400 has just caused a very small correction in Bitcoin's price. Expect it to bounce back harder with a bullish few days in early January next year.

I think it is normal that BTC price goes down before a fork because few people panics, selling their BTC. They are not taking any actions against Bitcoin.
You probably should be the first to re-read the news.

They are not going after bitcoin. They want exchnges to comply with regulation, KYC laws and they want to prevent banks from playing around with crypto investments.

The first part is normal, the second one is what got some people confused.
Some said that banks will be banned to deal with anything related to crypto (including exchnges and transactions to exchnges) but in reality it's just a measure that prevents banks from investing in any form of crypto.
It's nothing new, in the past banks have been banned to buy bonds from certain countries or stocks from certain companies.
It's a measure of protection as most of the money invested comes from citizens of SK.
