If you can take a higher risk, you can invest this 1000 in altcoin and maybe get a good surprise. If you want to keep growing, you can invest only in bitcoins and suggest that you buy it in batch, so you can avoid the risk of intense market volatility. If you have any extra money, you can increase some of the investment on the bitcoin.

Thanks

I would like to invest in Bitoin and various Altcoins, but I will not have a lot of time to spend on this as I have to work, so I just would like to find a few good looking ones to invest in. There is so much info out there, so many conflicting opinions.

Coinbase seems like the easiest way for me to get Bitcoin right now, but I have also read many bad reviews. What do you think?

All i can advice to you when investing in bitcoin is, you have to take the risk. Which means the higher the risk the higher the return. There are many ways to earn your profit in bitcoin and that is holding, staking, trading, lending and bounty hunting. But remember not to put all your money on cryptocurrency due to it volatility, invest only the amount you can afford to lose.

This is the best time to buy bitcoin ,, because another month will explode.Take a bit of your savings to invest. Then you will benefit.Another good Altcoin I think is BCH.

Yeah the more I look into it the more it seems like gambling! I also dont want to stare at screens all day trying to work out whats going to happen. I just want to put some money in to something that looks promising and wait it out. Shame to miss the big Bitcoin rush in the last year, but it seems that it could rise more anyway.

I'm unsure as to whether to get into the various Alt coins around, but maybe some of the bigger ones arent a bad idea

It is indeed the best because of the correction happen. It is not late to invest and still you can buy btc and hold for a years. I dont think on BCH good to buy but be wise in in investing in altcoin.

£1000 may be tiny for someone but it can also be whole life savings for someone else.
so you have to decide where on this scale you fall into. if it is not that big a deal for you, then go for it. but usually the amount that is suggested for an investment is a small amount you cut from your daily expenses like some bad habit of spending you may have. cut that and put that money in bitcoin.

Thanks

Well I own a house, so most of my money is in that. But I have about 15k outside of that. I don't know how much is a good amount to invest in bitcoin or other alt coins. I have had the money sitting in very low interest accounts for too long. If I had got into all this a year or two ago when I heard about it I would be doing very well now!

Its hard to know when to jump on board with bit coin as it went up so much recenty, and I dont know if I should wait longer for it to go lower?

First of all we welcome you here secondly before going to join bitcoin you must have to learn about bitcoin in detail because I know a lot of people who quit trade and the reason behind this is that they have no such a good knowledge about bitcoin when you study bitcoin in detail so you can earn from here easily because bitcoin is also very easy to lean and there are something which are very important to learn so my advice is to learn about bitcoin.

Yes, if you're a long term holder then buy now when there's dip. Else buy alt coins which will be promising in future.

You clearly answered to all your questions in there; You said that the "bubble" will burst.. So if you think that, then why the hell are you asking for help in here?
And let me tell you that if you are not going to invest $1000 - $5000 at least, you are not going to make a huge profit.

Thanks for the info.

I've learned a lot in the last few days. I have ordered my Ledger Nano S and have a plan for getting into some longer term holding coins, some of the bigger ones. I will branch out into the other Alts if I feel inclined at a later date.

Its hard to know when to buy BTC as its climbing again, but looking at trend lines it seems it could drop much lower too, so just wondering when to buy in. Maybe I shoudl just dollar average over the next two weeks or so. Its changing so rapidly

Thanks, yeah I plan to put even amounts into Bitcoin and ETH, and possibly a couple of other strong coins.

But everything is climbing and I'm still waiting for my bank to transfer the money. Could be a few more days, which is annoying. Im hoping Bitcoin will drop a bit still

Obviously if you would have invested that £1000 before a year, you would have now £15000 within this brief time. We couldn't say bitcoin is bubble for sure because it is support of people and this support will increase as more people are becoming aware of crypto market. Big investors say that a bitcoin can even surge to $50k in one or two years, so yout £1000 is enough to start

Bitcoin is a long-term investment, so your mindset is 100% correct. ^smile^ If I was you, I would create a paper wallet <cheapest & safest method to store your coins> and buy small quantities on Localbitcoin and then push it to the paper wallet.

Store the paper wallet with your Passport and a copy somewhere else. Alternatively, buy a hardware wallet, like the Ledger Nano S or Trezor.
