If you could choose one that would implement Bitcoin payments, what would it be? I'd say Amazon.

Amazon for sure!!!

Of course European Amazon would be my first choice. We were able to buy Amazon.com gift cards years ago, but we still can't buy their counterparts in Europe. I don't get it really. If they don't want to openly accept it, they could at least allow third party companies to take all the risk by allowing them to redistribute gift cards for cryptocurrencies.
I also would like a store like mediamarkt to start accepting it.

Whoever the world's biggest retailers and wholesalers are that is who I want to accept it. Therefore Amazon and Ebay automatically make the list and whatever other big conglomerate there is I would want them to as well.

Major online retail store would be a good start. If that starts happening, soon many others will follow that example and it will blow up in no time. Also, maybe some software development companies should start "trusting" crypto and actually start boosting their sales by accepting it. Am I the only one who sees a negative side to not accepting crypto? You can only benefit by accepting.

I totally do agree with you. The companies I would want to accept bitcoin as a means of payment are the biggest online shopping site's.  So I'd choose Amazon and Aliexpress. I think they are the biggest at least for now.

Ford Motors

No use in trying to buy food using BTC or hookers when the transaction fee is $45.00
but it would be alright on a $30,000 car

Fix the fees and do it now or we could be facing an implosion and if you believe I am wrong
then a saying in the trade is "Let the trend be your friend"

There is no discrimination that such a business accepting adds value and the other doesn't. I feel that each and every small scale business could accept bitcoin and the same will contribute to the growth from the base. The same when executed by the large scale business like Amazon or some other retail services it'll easily reach the people which is the only difference.

Groceries like Cosco and Walmart, and any other restaurants out there that accept bitcoin as a payment, right now it's emerging and there's a big picture of bitcoin in terms of payment procedure.

Some gift card store that covers all big EU retailers would be great.
I think I'd also like shopping malls to issue their own Bitcoin gift cards that you can use in any of their stores. I'm not even hoping for a full acceptance like in Japan or Korea. Gift cards would still be a good option.

I don't know, but I hope it will be a big company so others will follow, Amazon maybe!!
But with the current state of the network (high fees, many unconfirmed transactions, volatility) , that is unlikely to happen.
The lightning network will fix some of these problems and that will probably motivate big companies to adopt Bitcoin.

Correct so that leave illegal gambling, video girls, and weed plus us tax dodgers and people like me
who just hates bankers but our niece won't last with $45 transaction fees and will never scale to
micro-transactions so read my mind when I think about what way prices will be going if the fees are
not fixed like yesterday  Roll Eyes

Even if that was fixed the price of a bitcoin would have to drop significantly and become stable I have spoken to companys who tried Bitcoin in the early days and gave up because it was just to much hassle trying to work out prices and then have to keep changing them with Bitcoins volatility.

Amazon and other grocery and department store so that shopping will no need to convert my bitcoin in fiat also to eliminate too much transaction fees when converting. Also I would to travel around the world using bitcoin and without worrying about my finances since bitcoin is accepted world wide. It would be nice if bitcoin can become a legal tender that can be use anytime and anywhere

I do not want only one online market that receives Bitcoin, I want all e-commerce to receive Bitcoin because then the level of Bitcoin trust will increase. Now there are already some e-commerce that receive Bitcoin, but the level of market share is still a bit inhibiting. I think when there is a big e-commerce that receives Bitcoin then it will make a significant change.

I like online shopping like amazon in philippines its lazada. So its less hassle for the transaction. If bitcoin will implement in the country it will have a big change for many netizens at the same time they have a peace of mind because it cant be stolen from them. You will have many more benefits from that.   Since its less hassle you can spend more time to your loved ones. Be wiser

Actually i dont really use that online shop to buy something.  But if they are accepting bitcoin i will very support it since it will make price of bitcoin getting higher and higher since the demand will be higher.
Any of company at least they are big and famous so then i will support.

Yes we hope that there would company especially stores that accepts bitcoin, here in our country there are just few outlet who accepts bitcoin but in the groceries there is still none that accepts.  As long as the government allows crypto especially to put it in the market here that would be my greatest gift so far.

I want all of the companies to have accept bitcoin because if you will wish then why just wish for all of the companies to just accept bitcoin so the exposure of bitcoin will be going to be maxed out and that will give us a lot of option to where we can spend our bitcoin and also to the profits that we can have since the price of bitcoin will go up if the users will dramatically increase.

I feel like porn sites should for sure start accepting some type of cryptocurrency payment. Maybe not Bitcoin, because the transaction fees cost probably more than a monthly subscription. And maybe Amazon, it'd be a lot more efficient if I didn't have to convert my Bitcoin into PayPal money just to order a $20.00 item on Amazon.

Nike shoe shops and other computer store or gaming console store which would have been great because it could served as valuable experience for me and others because this could provide convenience in terms of no longer needing to bring high amount of money just to purchased your desired and instead you could use your bitcoin for buying such.

Newegg.com

Overstock.com

Gyft.com

Seedsman.com (legal state, what what)

I rarely spend BTC though, there are probably tons of others, especially if you use Gyft or eGifter to buy gift cards to Amazon, etc.

Newegg.com

Overstock.com

Gyft.com

Seedsman.com (legal state, what what)

I rarely spend BTC though, there are probably tons of others, especially if you use Gyft or eGifter to buy gift cards to Amazon, etc.

You haven't read the question properly. He wasn't asking what companies are accepting it!
Amazon gift cards purchased through gyft only work for amazon.com (the US branch). The other locations aren't accepting them. I'd like to be able to buy on amazon or ebay using bitcoin without the need for a gift card.

Whoever the world's biggest retailers and wholesalers are that is who I want to accept it. Therefore Amazon and Ebay automatically make the list and whatever other big conglomerate there is I would want them to as well.
I have never tried to order from Amazon and ebay but I have already heard of it. If these retailers would accept bitcoin for payments, therefore I would strongly agree to it. Since they can accomodate also deliveries from abroad, I can surely buy I want that is not present in our country.

Amazon for sure!!!
I have heard rumors of Amazon going to start accepting bitcoins all through this year but it has failed to materialize at the moment and if that happens, It would be a huge win for Bitcoin since the biggest commerce company in the world is accepting it and it will push the likes of Walmart and BestBuy to follow suit as well.

I would like to see all the stores in the world to accept BTC. However it is unrealistic at this moment.

Considering the higher transaction fees now, for a start I hope automotive companies, airlines and hotels can start accepting BTC.

I agree, fast food shops are a good idea, I would like to see them accepting Bitcoins too or if necessary, an AltCoin like Litecoin. Another business I would like to see accepting Bitcoin is a site like Amazon, but from my country, local one. It's a important marketplace where retailers make deals, very useful, but sadly we can use only fiat to buy there. It can even decrease the profits of the seller, it would be very different accepting Bitcoins.

Google or Amazon will be better for me to accept bitcoin.
we need way to use our bitcoin directly and not need to exchange it to dollar then use it.
amazon is my first choose but bitcoin can’t support 2000 transaction per second.
PayPal is good option if they accept bitcoin we will have many people jump and try to buy or sell it.

so I'd say PayPal and i think they will do it within 10 years.

The problem with fees is making it unusable for small payments, but it's only a matter of time before everything starts moving again. Even if that means we'll have to switch to 2x or the lightning network. Everything will have to be resolved this year. We had the block size debate last year and nothing has changed. I don't think Bitcoin will survive another year in this state.

I don’t think bitcoin (in its current form) will ever disappear completely now because of several factors.

The Wall Street ETFs and investment futures conmen don’t care how fast the network is (in fact they are afraid to change it) because they don’t trade bitcoin, they trade futures. You buy or sell a futures contract based on whether you think bitcoin prices are headed up or down. Eventually, I expect the CME to create options on futures contracts: traders will be able to buy and sell “puts and calls,” the right to buy (a “call” option) or sell (a “put” option) a bitcoin futures contract at a particular price by a particular date. They don’t do anything to help bitcoin just as they don’t do anything to help orange pickers pick oranges just because they trade in Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice.

The first bitcoin miners are holding roughly 40% of all bitcoins in existence. They want the bottleneck because that’s creating major price swings that generate the profit levels that allow them to sell out thousands of bitcoins with each swing upward. It drops they wait for new blood to enter the market then sell down slightly maximizing their profit. If the bottleneck was removed, evenly metered buying and selling would happen as bitcoins currency economy grew and bitcoins exchange rate would stabilize. That’s because the velocity of money increases price stability. Everyone on this forum subscribes to the quantity theory of money and completely abandons understanding the velocity. If you sold thousands of coins at that point the exchange rate would stabilize at the new lower exchange rate. The first bitcoins you sell would sell for much more than the last ones you sell. If you were one of the group of major holders sitting on millions of bitcoins, in this scenario the first coin you sell would make you $20,000 the last coin you sell would make you a dollar.

These two groups need to support the status quo. I’ve seen so many people on this forum look at the blocksize issue and fee issue with confusion and disgust because they fail to realize that bitcoin is the most manipulated commodity the world has ever seen. It’s that way for a reason, the people holding all the chips want it that way.

In short, the fees are being kept high and the block size problem isn't being resolved to make the price stay on the same level so that long time holders can finally get rid of their coins. Your theory suggests that people who have a lot of coins don't want them and prefer fiat instead. Why would they?
On one hand the coin is still multiplying their profits, and I'm not talking about unrealized potential profits but real ones that they can turn into physical things in a matter of days. One example can be the number of people offering real estate, cars, gold bars and other valuables for BTC. It could be difficult to cash out 10 million USD, but I've seen a number of properties worth over 1 million up for sale.
On the other hand, they are risking a major exodus if the fees keep rising. You know that if you throw all your coins on the market at once some of them sell for $11k and some for $1k but if you wait it out you may one day wake up to $5k per coin and this will make you get even less fiat.
I believe that the majority of holders don't concentrate on the ways of dumping their coins but turning them into real items. And let's not forget about people who already have millions in fiat. They don't want more fiat, they want an alternative that will work like an umbrella during a major shitstorm.

Don’t forget there are more than a million bitcoins in the hands of thieves that don’t care about bitcoin. There are also not nearly enough planes, trains and automobiles available for sale to use for all the horded bitcoins out there. Bitcoin real estate typically sells for over market value if you use bitcoins to pay (real estate agents aren’t stupid, they know they will never be able to sell $5 million in btc for the same price per coin).

Any business savvy investor knows better than to use something like bitcoin as a long term store of value any more than they would use dollars as a long term store of value.

I really do not mind amazon adding bitcoin at this stage as the transaction fees i have to pay for small items would be huge,i would like to see bitcoin being added to some major gambling sites which is fiat based and that would be a good addition as we will be having more option to gamble ,that is my only take in this regard,as i am not planning to make micro deals with bitcoin unless the fee issue is resolved.

The property industry in general. People who want to buy a home or land with Bitcoin face the biggest head aches in terms of cashing in those amounts and you'll probably never want to cash in anywhere near that amount again. If BTC was commonly accepted for property sales that would put many a mind at rest I'm sure.

You'd still have to cash out a bit for capital gains if you're subject to them, but that's a much smaller ask.

I would love if more airlines companies would accept bitcoin, it would make traveling around the world much easier. Everyone here talking about, amazon or aliexpress but buying a shoe or a hat with bitcoin is simply stupid and it would actually be harder and more expensive than to pay with a credit card.

Yep,it’s better for all business to accept bitcoin. That will bring benefits equally. It’s getting more convenient for all bitcoin’s  user if all the company accepted bitcoin. However, I believe that it’s really difficult for all business to accept btc, but there will have some do accept it. Particularly, some big company like Amazon can accept it like a fiat currency which make many people don’t need to spend their time converting into fiat.

Microsoft, steam, and newegg. If these 3 juggernauts of a company started accepting bitcoins as payment for all of their products, they are probably a richer company by now. But of course, allowing bitcoins on these companies have cons like transaction fees, time, and the ever fluctuating price of btc.

Either Amazon or Ebay. If main e-commerce retailers does accept bitcoins then it would not just increase the perception of bitcoin but also may increase the demand and provide convenience to bitcoin users

No doubt, that would be good for large bitholders

But if we cut the crap here and ask ourselves a simple question, i.e. how high is the demand for homes paid with bitcoins, we will likely see that the market doesn't want Bitcoin. To put it differently, how many people actually have half a million dollars (or more) as bitcoins? I don't think that many. And how many of them want a new home? I suspect even less than that. In fact, from what I read here, the demand is really low. On the other hand, if you are going to buy a home or some other property on the secondary market, you will probably find a seller willing to accept bitcoins or some other crypto as payment

In my country, some small shops accept bitcoin, as bakery shops for example.
It would be great if we could pay dinner in a restaurant, or a cafe in a coffee shop, with bitcoin.
I hope that soon we will be able to buy computers or technical things with bitcoin to Smiley
After that, air tickets, cars, vacation etc.

Most of my purchases are from either Amazon or eBay. So I would love for these vendors to accept bitcoin as it would make payments easier, as there would be no need to convert it to other types of currency digitally. Real estate would be an added benefit too

Amazon is a good selection as they are accepting almost all country products, apart from this online company i will also add flipkart which is also a good choice from my country point of view.

I wouldn’t expect any retailer with a competing product to start accepting bitcoin anytime soon.

First of all, I want my bank to issue me a debit card which can be loaded with Bitcoins. That will remove the requirement of having to convert Bitcoins to fiat cash every time I want to do some shopping.

Be wiser
Normally people are using money on their foods and clothes so I wish that all multi nation companies who are running food and clothes business around the world they much accept bitcoins we heard about MacDonald that it’s going to accept bitcoin so I think it will help them a lot and also it will help to bitcoin users so bitcoin is very good to use I wish that next year some companies will accept bitcoin then life will become more comfortable.

The Amazon is the best company which I want to accept Bitcoin for payment as Bitcoin. The other companies are I want to use Bitcoin in education department for payment of fee through Bitcoin. The education is the basic of any government if they start accepting bitcoin in their education system. Then everyone will be aware of advantages of Bitcoin in near future. The Bitcoin will be legalize through this in all over the world.

I'd say Walmart.Would be really awesome.I mean this company almost sell everything who wouldn't like to buy anything with Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency?
Also If I had to choose another one I'd say eBay it's my favorite online shopping company I prefer it to Amazon cause Amazon doesn't ship too much to my country.

Ford Motors

No use in trying to buy food using BTC or hookers when the transaction fee is $45.00
but it would be alright on a $30,000 car

Fix the fees and do it now or we could be facing an implosion and if you believe I am wrong
then a saying in the trade is "Let the trend be your friend"
Car manufacturers will be my first choice as well, there are not many things I want from a place like amazon, besides the high fees do not justify to make small purchases, however buying a car or a house with bitcoin will be great, also I would like some shops that sell musical instruments to accept bitcoin.

If I'm to choose one company that would implement bitcoin payment, I'd choose a major online store. I'd choose Aliexpress rather than Amazon.
Aliexpress has very cheap stuffs and it ships to almost all the countries in the world.

I think those bigger companies like amazon is one of the best options that accepting bitcoin can be worthy for all online payments. Bitcoin has a greatee advantages compared to fiat payments, because the transactions is purely digital and no physical money involved. That's why nowadays the it became more prominent to the massive numbers of people worldwide that bitcoin investments is one of the biggest investment people would choose to.

I am still disappointed that Steam is no longer supporting Bitcoin payments - they removed this option in December.
Apparently, the reasoning behind it was a fact that BTC transactions are 'too expensive' (high fees) and Steam is all about selling cheap games.
Yeah right, I will just use G2A from now on they don't have a problem with bitcoin payments.

I would like to see that more car dealers would start to accept Bitcoin directly. It would be awesome to buy a car with BTC.

Well this is a good question for everyone here as people have different preference.
Well for me, im quite agree with you. For now it is better if a big e-commerce company like amazon accepts bitcoin. Besides the fact that it is my preference, accepting bitcoin will give them a lot of profit and in the same time helping bitcoin grows too by making bitcoin usable in a daily shopping matters, and not to mention bitcoin will also gain massibe popularity if amazon accepts it. So it is a win-win solution.

I am still disappointed that Steam is no longer supporting Bitcoin payments - they removed this option in December.
Apparently, the reasoning behind it was a fact that BTC transactions are 'too expensive' (high fees) and Steam is all about selling cheap games.
Yeah right, I will just use G2A from now on they don't have a problem with bitcoin payments

I don't think it is specifically because of transactions being too costly

It is not Steam which pays them anyway so why should they really care, huh? Myself, I'm more inclined to think there's simply not enough interest from the community to pay with crypto since if there were they could have kept this option available and switched to Litecoin payments or whatever instead of Bitcoin but they didn't. I guess this is the real cause of Steam dismantling their cryptopayments infrastructure. No one is interested in Bitcoin or crypto at large as a means of payment. This is the whole point of Steam ditching their support for Bitcoin

You’re absolutely right. You would have to be a fool to pay with bitcoin when it’s climbing in value so fast. That would be like using your Apple stock to buy bitcoin right before a new iPhone release.

Businesses have been dropping bitcoin as a payment option like mad.

Walmart is the devil.

Walmart:
Destroys Small Businesses
Awful Employee Health Insurance Policy
Abuses the Elderly
Abuses Women
Their Prices Are Misleading
Pays so little that most of their employees are on welfare
Uses Foreign Labor (including child labor)
Neglects Pregnant Workers
Discriminates against disabled workers
Isn’t A Safe Working Environment
Is Notorious For Wage Theft
Has a bad track record for animal welfare
Has lied to keep its public image clean
It’s security shop lifting force has tackled and KILLED people in their parking lots

The only thing they care about is rich people. In 2013, the Walton family received $8 billion in tax breaks, $6.2 billion of which came from federal taxpayer subsidies handed to them because employee wages are so low. Currently, the company is also hosting $21.4 billion in offshore accounts, which remain untaxed by the U.S. government. And in 2014, as Walmart failed to meet shareholder expectations, the company somehow managed to dig up enough money to give its CEO a $1.5 million bonus for performing poorly at his job.

Walmart isn’t just greedy. The company is the epitome of greed. As its overworked and underpaid employees struggle to make ends meet, Walmart’s top brass make billions, even as stock is dropping. Everything about the company is capitalism at its worst. Most Americans have heard the stories but they are so stupid they keep shopping there every week.

I would like to see that more car dealers would start to accept Bitcoin directly. It would be awesome to buy a car with BTC.

To be honest I was disappointed in that as well, but we cannot blame them, I do not think there are a lot of people using their bitcoin to buy games and when you add the huge fees then it is understandable that they dropped bitcoin, when we reach a greater degree of adoption they will eventually accept it again.
