I am currently using ledger nano s and trezor i can say theres not much difference with their features, but i love my nano s becaues its not bulky like trezor and the price of nano is far less than trezor.

Generally speaking, I would put tokens on exchanges, so when prices rise quickly, you can't transfer your tokens to the exchanges in time, so it's easier to put them directly on the exchanges.

If you are an active trader then yes, an exchange is your solution, however if you go long term - nano s is a great option. It's just safer to keep your coins that way.

Yes it's easier but when same exchange gets hacked, you lose all your tokens, both capital and the ones you have traded for profit. I prefer cold storage wallets in my opinion.

But it would be much safer if we keep the coin in the hardware wallet, all the exchange is at risk of hacking but not with hardware wallet

Nano is indeed cheaper than trezor wallet, but the two doesnt have much differences, they are both good and secured wallets.

During this time that I know about hardwallet there are trezor and ledger. But I've never used it, so do not know which one is the best.

If you have large amounts and want to invest in the long term, it is advisable l download wallet, but otherwise keep trading in exchange is beneficial for short-term investment. Remembering that hardware wallet requires a lot of attention to avoid embarrassment. The websites of each currency contain the correct information for each wallet.

That's a good idea, less hassle for someone who wants to take it too quickly, This idea suites for everybody.

what do you guys use to store your altcoins - e.g. xvg, xrp, etn, wave etc?

According to what I heard to most traders who hold altcoins they used trezor wallet, but some they used mywetherwallet also, however mostly trezor it is already given proven and tested.

I am sure which one  is best option for altcoins. Generally I am holding at exchanges but sometimes exchanges get hacked and holded token in exhanges are lost. I think best secure way is offline wallets. you can get offline wallet it will help to save your tokens.
