To store for free u should probably use some online wallets. Myetherwallet is good for storing ERC20 tokens. But make sure you don't get phished.

Where to keep alternative coins safely for free ?

Is exodus in your opinion a safe alternative coin wallet ?

Is binance safe to keep alternative coins ?

Assuming we're talking about a growing investment, at what point would you buy a hardware wallet and which ?

I just bought about 0.2 bitcoin at a Turkish website (paribu.com) but I'm afraid it will have waited too long before it is transferred to another place. Can you recommend a safe alternative to buy cryptocurrencies safely from Turkey ?

Unless you dont hold your own Private Key then you are not the owner of your Bitcoin or Altcoins. If you put it in an Exchange like Binance or Bittrex you cant say its 100% safe. Whatever happens to the Exchange, your bitcoins are in danger always. I advise you buy a Hardware wallet like Ledger Nano or Trezor. Better safeguard your portfolio than being sorry. Exodus good, you can use it. If you still cant afford a hardware wallet, you can download a wallet like Exodus, or Jaxx wallet and store your private key in a safe place for future use. Me, I store my coins in a Ledger wallet. I just moved some coins I day trade in Binance but I definitely put it back to my Ledger wallet if I dont trade.

Just go for any PC, laptop, tablet or mobile that is no longer in use. Download a software wallet or app and keep your coins on there. Don't use it for any other thing and keep it disconnected from internet until not required. This can be a safe way. Also, you can go for paper wallet. But remember to keep multiple copies and that too safely. Or you can buy any hardware wallet.

if it's Erc20 token then I suggest to save it in myetherwallet (MEW) but you have to compass with your private key, save it safely and do not let anyone know it.

I usually store Altcoin in Bittrex because it is a great and reliable exchange too. Always use the payday with google autenticator in the account we use to store it. To avoid from things we do not want, because anything can happen jiga we pay less attention to the security of our account.

I prefer to use the purse Myetherwallet. Very easy to use. And in my opinion is safe. There you can send absolutely all coins based on ETH. I would not recommend keeping coins on the exchange, although I do it myself
