Hi everyone, Because of high miners fee in bitcoin transaction, is it possible that there will be an altcoin that can replace bitcoin and can be used as major payment for cryptocurrency exchanges?

I think Monero can do that as it is already chosen as second payment method on dark net.

Yeah. Its the cryptocurrency thats following BTC's humble beginnings to darknet acceptance and then maybe to a 100 billion market value. But too bad its going to have more of problems in scaling because it has larger transaction sizes than BTC. All blockchain based cryptocurrencies wont scale onchain. Accept that reality.

A certain altcoin replacing bitcoin is definitely very possible, especially if the scaling problem doesn't get fixed soon after the bitcoin hype. Which one? It's hard to say for sure as of now. We have lots of alternatives, like BitcoinCash, Dash, Litecoin, etc. Will bitcoin(BTC) be replaced? Maybe, maybe not.

I certainly can not exactly say, but as you look at the etherium, I think that he can take the top? Well for me, he can perfectly fit into this. Plus now I'm doing a bounty company one for which the guys have high hopes. And there is just a crypto currency which you can pay for different goods. Beluga is called.

Hard to say but one thing for sure is that there will always be developments in crypto that will rival bitcoin eventually. This is if bitcoin keeps being rigid in its development

There's is ETH which is already popular with low fees, then there is also LTC. Other than these many newer coins are more faster like XRB, which is as good as lightning network. But anyways with lightning network on BTC it will be the best choice for transactions once again.

yes it is possible for some altcoin to replace the bitcoin as a source of payment , some of them has infact already implemented this. like for example on steam platform they are now replace bitcoin by litecoin to thier payment method due to the fact that bitcoin is kinda slow and expensive lately. however bitcoin cant still be replace in terms of other usage like investment because bitcoin is still profitable when compared to some other alts. yet i believe and hopping that bitcoin will still improve in the form of segwit or hardfork in order for it to retain its glory and fame.

At the moment, doubt Bitcoin will be replaced anytime soon. But I think Litecoin is a good candidate as a replacement for Bitcoin.

Majority of altcoin can replace the bitcoin because in fact that they are all coming with scalability solution and some project that used alternative ways such as iota and raiblock (Dag system) which used the server to validate the transaction and make it be direct or instant payment. And the answer all of the altcoin is really possible to replace the bitcoin in actual use.

For example, DGB could be a major one in the future. It's price is below $0.1 now and it can reach $1 in the future easily.

If people think about it would be difficult to replace Bitcoin as a major payment because the popularity. But if in expectations Ethereum is the best choice and can make that happen, also has many people know about this alternative currency.

Most likely it will be the Etherium, Litcoin or Bitcoin cash. But it is difficult to say, a new coin may appear that will dislodge other altcoys.

i believe ripple and ethereum are very good altcoins that have high potential to replace bitcoin in the future, they are very great at big amount transactions because it fast and low fee, also the community of investors are supporting them very much, making them become value coins on crypto market.

RDN I know many of you have not heard of it. But think about the tool you use to pay. It’s alipay, PayPal ,wechat. Payment tools connect people and work with efficiency and convenience. None of crypto btc, ethereum, dash, xmr etc. can match that. We need not pay on-chain. you need not to pay with gold, you just pay the token backed by gold. You pay others though PayPal, you pay them token of PayPal while PayPal token backed by real money. You pay others though bank, you actually pay them the bank token while bank token backed by real asset.
RDN is a system in which token backed by eth. Using this system to pay is more likely matching the condition of payment.

The debate between storage value and currency needs to be sorted before any proper projections on how the future of crypto for payments will look like i think

there are some really good alternatives but to replace bitcoin there must be something rally good in functionality, maybe tomorrow we'll have some big players (google, amazon, paypal, etc) in crypto world and we may have a really good alternative
