Why not? I think can ethereum can hit that target, $4,000 is a high amount but nothing is impossible for ethereum, i think on december 2018, ethereum can hit $4000 and it will totally shock or surprise many people if that will happen, and i also think ethereum can totally come up on bitcoin.

I believe that ethereum can go $4000 in 2018 and if that will happen me and my friend is we will be happy very much because half of our money is in ethereum and we will make many money from it, and i believe that ethereum can maybe hit more than $4000 and many people will trust more eth if that will happen.

I do not know where Ethereum could go. They will face many challenges this year. But people will look ever more to the platform and how they could offer a better option for this market. ETH could live together with Bitcoin.

I am really excited about the possibilities that PoS could offer.

ethereum  rising is inevitable with the rise of transaction fees on Bitcoin, I mean just look at the fees right now the fees are already like $10-40 right now. ethereum  is the only alternative which is accepted as much apart from maybe LTC

In crypto anything can happen. 4,000 bucks will be like 5 to 6 times of its current value. I don't see impossibility in that for the whole year. It is very possible but not 100 percent bet.

While there is a lot of investors in Ethereum, there is a lot of people trying to dump the coin down if it gets to that price. I would be careful that point.

Realistically, I don't think Ethereum will go up by $4,000 by the end of 2018. It seems that the trading volume of Ethereum has been a bit slow these days, which gives room for Ripple to move up to the second spot.

I think it may go up somewhere at least $1,500 or up to $2,500 at the end of the year. We can dream all we want, but we have to be realistic here.

Yes your right! Its too high for the ethereum .
But 2018 is a long run for ethereum, its just like what happen to bitcoin last 2017.
It grow more than 100% of its price before.
So its now impossible if its hapoen with ethereum too.
Im not a huge fan of ethereum , but I believe with its capability to grow and be known.

not sure ethereum can reach 4000 USD at the end of the year. with the many problems that have occurred with ethereum these days, i think ethereum will only reach around 1700-2000 USD at the end of the year...

That would be an incredible result for Ether. It has been way more stable recently but after April and the end of the tax year perhaps a rise is in order? I'd be very happy with it getting over £1000

It is true that ETH is slowly starting to show a positive trend. now it's gone up. I am sure it will soon reach the price of 1,000 usd and now it is almost touching 900 usd

I think that’s too much to ask for in Ethereum, don’t think it will reach that amount by 2018 but rather around 2020 it could be possible. There are a lot of new altcoins which have greater potential too aside from Bitcoin which is a given fact that it could somehow reach x50% of what was its price from the start of the year. I do love Ethereum too but I just really think the price you are stating is impossible for this year.

There is nothing impossible in cryptocurrency space. last year many people made a call on bitcoin reaching 5k the it traded 20k  twelve months after. Ethereum is a unique platform that function. Many successful project held on it. Ether can only go up!

I know that most of us here as community agree how good ethereum is, but to believe that this will raise up to 4000$ this 2018 is not possible. May be in 2020 to 2021 but all of this will depend of what the outcome will be in this 2018.
