Yes, I agree with you. Many Altcoin will explode in 2018 because there will be more potential Altcoin appearing, Altcoin is new in the early stages of development so it will grow very fast. Bitcoin will still grow but it will be more stable.

Many people in crypto make the mistake to go in projects that are already high. Maybe most people are just too lazy or dont have the time to analyze and look at coins below the top100 at Coinmarketcap

Colx combines Monero and Raiblocks and will x100 in 2018. But I think we will see many cheap altcoins explode in 2018, while Bitcoin stays relatively stable.

The fist half of 2018 proved to be a hard time for all coins including the leaders (btc and eth).  I just hope that starting from August things would change and the tokens I have will be sold at an adequate price.

2017 was a big year for people in crypto as it turned alot of people to millionaires and even raised the bar of expectations for 2018 for people who joined late 2017 and invest quite some funds. But with the look of how things have been since the year 2018 started it has fallen short of our expectations as 2018 might just be a year of consolidation for cryptocurrency and it might not see coins/ tokens hitting ATH.

I do concur with the way that Bitcoin will balance out. As respects Altcoins there are a not many that will rise, as Ethereum Classic, Ripple, Monero, DigiByte and Golem. These are coins that do have potential because of new tech coming their direction. Best activity is watch out on the Altcoins you discover fascinating, and check the insights about them.
