Everything can change very quickly. We all know that the price of Bitcoin has a very rapid rate of increase and decline. I think the current condition of Bitcoin is in a downward trend, but it can still be said to be normal because sometimes the price of Bitcoin has increased again. So this is the condition of the market, when the market trusts Bitcoin then Bitcoin price will increase and when the action sells then the price of Bitcoin will decrease. For me next year we'll see a much higher Bitcoin price and maybe even surprise, oh yes it's 2018 and I think the Bitcoin price range will reach $ 20,000 to $ 30,000. It does seem impossible right now, but we can all see that Bitcoin sometimes gives wonders and turns an impossible into a reality !!

I am optimistic that Bitcoin will continue on growing this 2018 and what is happening right now is just a temporary setback because of the continuing concern on the many problems affecting the Bitcoin network which remained unsolved as of press time. In my view, this can in fact rebound for the better of Bitcoin since there is a possibility that new speculators would think twice of getting into Bitcoin given its current standing. Now, having said that, we are all hoping that within year the solutions can be found for the scalability challenge poised on Bitcoin and we can stop this high transaction fee madness as soon as possible -- we don't want Bitcoin to be killing itself in this process. In case, Bitcoin can be able to reach that $50K level then I would really be so happy but just getting back to the $20K maybe enough for me.

And you base that on what? Bitcoin can grow to that amount we all know that but the issue is if it is going to do it in a single year and I find that difficult to believe, just because we had a very good year it does not mean we are going to have another one of those, what if the next year is a bad one and bitcoin losses value, many people will sell their bitcoin for a bad price only to regret it later.

Nice video, though for sure bitcoin will rise to 50k some time along the line. Since the supply is limited to 21K, it is very much better in terms of volatility than the dollar further down the track. Bitcoin is rather unstable right now, though its still growing very much.

In my opinion however, this 50k margin can only be achieved with the implementation of the lightning network, or something else that fixes these ridiculous transaction fee times and cost. Its kinda screwed up right now with all the trading happening with the recent dump by the uneducated ones.

there are a couple of things that i am waiting for and i do believe they can change the final price destination of bitcoin.
mainly it is the scaling things that i am looking forward to (but there are other mainstream adoptions too). if we can do something about scaling and get more SegWit adoption and finally have more Lightning Network usage and adoption you can expect $100,000 be reached super easily.

Exactly, this is one of my main reasons for bitcoin to really reach $20K-$50K at this year. So much is at stake right now that when LN is implemented we will see another surge of investors flocking to the ecosystem because LN is so hype that we will finally see the scaling issues resolved.

Of course we all know that there are a lot of bumps leading to $50K, but if investors stick to bitcoin, then there's no doubt that we can really get to it this year. Crossing my fingers.

The price is recovering slowly and it is better than a quick pump because we know that it is because of the microbuying of different people not a quick buy of a billionaire.

BTC is good for long term investment and if you are a long term investor then buy some (like they are saying only buy what you can afford to lose), but still it is better to look for alts right now and ride the whales and use the profit that you are to buy more BTC rather than speculate the price over and over again.
I've been in the UP and down of BTC in the last 2 years and from what I have observe this is really just the beginning of cryptocurrencies and only those investors who are investing early have the capacity to manipulate the price but this will be harder as time passes by because you know global adoption is coming.
Even gold spent a hundred years to make its price stable.

Lightning network is the only thing capable of pushing Bitcoin to such levels. Nothing else can come even close to that, so it's pointless to wait for good news pumps. Bitcoin needs to be able to handle insane levels of usage every second, and for that we definitely need lightning network. SegWit is all fine, but it won't do much in the long term since it's very limited itself. In order to cope with the demand, offchain scaling solutions are needed to move forward. From there it's easy to assume that the only major trigger will be lightning network itself. All other things are literally peanuts. Seriously, what's more adoption worth when Bitcoin can't handle it?

Everyone is optimistic when it comes to the price of bitcoin. There has been a lot of it for the past years and keeps on giving us a lot of idea on how bitcoin is growing and getting to the mainstream.

If has stalled somewhat after rallying past $17K initially. It's the nature of bitcoin though, sometimes we think that it will go up in the next days but then again in retracted back to $15K. However, its too early to tell as we are still in initially stage of the year. Yes, $50K is not really that far, maybe we can hit it at the end of year.

I guess if we test $20K, it will stage another levels for bitcoin and make a run to $50K. Nevertheless, this struggles to get to $20K is part of the growing pains, challenges and obstacles. But once we hurdle everyone of them, we can then march to $50K or even higher at the end of 2018, exciting times ahead and we need to be optimistic so that things can happen favorable to us.

It is very unlikely that bitcoin will be touching 50k usd in the next year. Although it dies solve a lot of the problems fiat currency doesn't, it also creates new ones of its own. The scaling issues, block size problems, transaction fees etc. Unless these issues are worked out it is unlikely that bitcoin goes at 50k. 2018 will see many improvements in altcoins as new innovations continue to happen. Many mainstream financial giants are set to offer their cccoins in the future so keep an eye.
