It is very unlikely that bitcoin will be touching 50k usd in the next year. Although it dies solve a lot of the problems fiat currency doesn't, it also creates new ones of its own. The scaling issues, block size problems, transaction fees etc. Unless these issues are worked out it is unlikely that bitcoin goes at 50k. 2018 will see many improvements in altcoins as new innovations continue to happen. Many mainstream financial giants are set to offer their cccoins in the future so keep an eye.
