I hate to sound like a broken record here but do you have an update about the boards?

Edit: Plus I don't like it when this thread isn't on the first page.

Yes today they setup PnP for Chili... I was waiting there since we would do a sample board for me to test before full production... Just in case so I can test it if there is anything wrong with program(some components not put on just right). Now I'm not sure if this has something to do with BFL logo, someone karma or I don't know what... PnP broke down... I will make some calls tomorrow(I did some today but non pick up, it was too late I guess) if someone else can take us. I will also hopefully know tomorrow how long this PnP is out of action...

Interesting thing is that in this time I made a Avalon gen2 replacement board for gen1 without a problem... It looks to be really BFL thing...

I am making 100 Nano Furies in less than a month.  We have been waiting for these things for what a month delayed now.  WTF.

BFL products have been designed by engineers who like to complicate things.  Everything in their products is unnecessarily complicated.
I guess BFL hires people who are just smart enough to design but stupid enough not to see simpler solutions.

There is a reason people say "German Engineering".  "French Engineering"  does not have the same implied meaning.

Avalon is a different story.  ngzhang was all for simplicity.  This was evident in his Icarus boards and then Avalon.
I bet whatever else he designs will follow the same pattern.

Good point... 300+ components on BFL board vs. 200+ on Avalon(2/3 of them are same SMD capacitors)... 8 vs 10 chips and components are much cheaper simpler easier to cool and easier to install right...

Will this be for all boards?

Or is it still 40 first,....................then 100 later?

Sorry. I'm confused. You found a new assembly house. But they are not in operation until the end of next week?

No - all here ordered chips & just assembly offered by Lucko. When you buy chips somewhere, I am sure he can make you too boards as there should be some left.

There is uncritical mistake in Chili BOM... One component is missing. Is anyone plan to use GPU cooler? Plug for GPU cooler fan is not in BOM and I missed that error. I will order it now and will add it later by hand on boards that will need it... The rest looks OK...  But they didn't finish setting up yet so first board will came off assembly tomorrow...

And now I have all the boards done... I will also receive the one from France tomorrow too... So I can make additional 150 boards without a problem if anyone needs them...
