I heard this news, And to my knowledge they have raised a lot of money in their Initial Coin Offering. Their proceeds amount to 1.7 Billion $. There will definitely be a large amount of funds to further enhance the development of their coins and it will definitely have a huge impact on Crypto Currency once it open on the market.

My friends are really interested with this concept too, they think telegram has a huge potential, I just don't know what is the status of Telegram now given the chance that they earn a lot in ICO , but now I don't have any idea, my last news was that they said they paused, not sure but hoping for telegram to become successful, it will be a huge for blockchain and to telegram.

Well their ICO, which was only available to big, private investors sold out at around 1.7 billion and they seem to be developing the Gram wallet and other resources.

One of their old roadmaps for the ICO estimates that around Q4 of 2019 (right now), they are looking to launch their own TON wallet and deploy the coins into the market, and then in the following quarters add integration from the wallet to the messenger app.

I was certain the sec would be keeping an eye and would clap back. When EOS was taken to court by the sec, They were fined only $20M. If something similar as that happens to this Telegram's case, It shouldn't be much of a problem. There are really big whales in crypto nowadays. I believe they will be fined on this ICO also and that would not be a problem for Telegram, they can afford that hefty fine. The amount is small as compared to what they raised. So yeah, they will soon join the ranks of companies that integrate blockchain tech within their system.

Telegram has really come a long way in cryptocurrency. I thinks it's among the first community crypto has asides Bitcointalk. But what amazes me most if how Telegram raised such huge amount from VCs and other private investors swiftly without even soliciting for funds openly. 1.7b us dollars Is really a lot of money and SEC couldn't look past it

It's not about the differences in the mechanism of crowdsale that has already used by EOS and Telegram. But you must remember if EOS has already prohibited US customer to participated in the crowdsale and already done IP-blocking to the US IP. In telegram's case, this company is still allowing US customers to participate even a few US customers bought 1 billions worth of GRAM token.
Telegram is not prohibiting US customer to participate and there were some people filled fraud claim against TON crowdsale that brings SEC to investigate TON and put TON project in the worst situation compared with EOS which has failed to register its token to the SEC.

indeed telegram started using blockchain technology but i think telegram is still not suitable if using this technology because there are not too many transactions in telegram, telegram should have a paid platform so that it has transactions and can use teknolgo blockchain and can have requests that can make coin telegram has a sale value at the exchange place.

Many people have used the telegram application and if the telegram has issued tokens for transactions between members, I think it will provide an attraction for new users. they can restrict anyone, while there is not sales anymore, no one will participate in anything. means sec has restricted something that doesnt even exists,
