If you have v1.7.1.1 then maybe you haven't checked the new website either? I recommend that you check it out, you'll find lots of interesting things and you can even get an update on how development on certain features is progressing too.

Version 1.7.3 was a mandatory upgrade due to the chain being forked. 1.7.5 was a cosmetic update with some fixes but not mandatory.
