So far there are 16 DeepOnion nodes? how to increase them and what are the advantages increasing them?

With a lot nodes wallet can speed up the syncing process. It can be extremely important for pools to get less rejected blocks.
But i believe this list is ok already. Anyway if wallet will be launched long time it can have 50+ connections.

I have intention to accumulate more Deep Onion, and really need big announcements to make sure that I can make right decisions. 

Well, that's the point, we'll have to wait for it 
Though, DeepOnion makes a lot of good announcements pertaining to listings or features or updates in general. I don't think we're left without some new announcement for long, the community should be happy by the amount of progress made by the DeepOnion team.
If you want my opinion, accumulate now, before an altseason catches up with the crypto market. DeepOnion is a quality coin, when the necessary requirements of the market are met and we escape this bear market, the price will go up.

I think the use of the word "perhaps" pretty much indicates that this is merely a guess from their part.
