The project is growing very well since my visit and early 2018. I wonder why we don't put onions on the larger exchanges.  Deeponion is better than any other electronic money on the market.  Along with the anonymous electronic money trend, we have Sero, Deep cloud AI and Loki as emerging anonymous data service projects.  Hopefully in the future people can understand that privacy is very important in electronic money transactions and use more anonymous crypto.

Private coins will surely win. However, it will not be easy, it will be a protracted war..

The more afraid centralized organizations are, the better for the exposure of privacy coins!

Long term this is a very nice coin, short term seen some dumps lately...

I really miss the good old days when the price of each coin was more than 25000 sats the price has fallen so much since then. I am eagerly waiting for a bull run on the alt market so that we can go back to good old price.

Here's a longer summary of the latest liquidator statement:

GOOD NEWS

- The liquidator, global accounting firm Grant Thornton (GT), has solved the MOST IMPORTANT AND URGENT PROBLEM; they have recovered the client database from the supplier in Phoenix, US. 

NEXT STEPS FOR LIQUIDATORS

- GT is now reconciling the customer database with the Cryptopia wallets. This is complex as there are hundreds of thousands of wallets.

- This process is made more complex as new wallets were established at the time of the hack (either by the hackers or by Cryptopia staff to protect the assets from the hackers, the statement does not make this clear).

BAD NEWS

- Because of the January hack, the reconciliation process is complex and time-consuming.

- When returning assets to customers, GT must be compliant with NZ and International anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) laws. Note they do not say what the process will be, only that they need to follow the laws.

- Legal advice will be needed to determine the nature of the legal relationship between Cryptopia and its clients.

- Because of the previous hack, GT cannot simply open the exchange to let customers recover coins.

OTHER THOUGHTS

- GT does not make any comment the amount of funds that will likely be available to reimburse customers. I interpret this as good news; the initial accounts published by GT show that the company does NOT have large debts. If the amount of the recoverable funds were lower than previously expected, I would guess they would say this to prepare customers for the worst.

- GT are going to pay for a fair amount of lawyers, which will ultimately reduce the amount available to pay to customers.

BOTTOM LINE

- GOOD NEWS: GT is doing a great job and customers will likely recover most (?) of their holdings.

- BAD NEWS: The situation is complex and the process will take time. You will have to wait months, not weeks.

Yeah, regarding the price, it is important that Deep Onion is listed on many exchanges and that volume seems to be picking up lately, which is a good sign.
Few days of trading with 100K$+ volume and we will see Deep Onion at 10.000 Satoshi 

Persistence is the key I think, because a lot of projects remain under the radar for quite a while, but you have to keep going.

Yeah, some projects just end up without funds, though. People can miscalculate the duration of the bear market, for example, and spend up all the coin's funds before they realize it. I'm glad DeepOnion still has funds to give to developers and for other activities.

To stay solvent is easier said than done, especially when you keep most of your funds in crypto. A lot of projects went bust I suppose during the bear market because they just didn't expect such a prolonged downturn.

DeepOnion is worth hodling. Lots of stuffs that will assure a crypto works to change lives.

I agree but many set out to do the same. It will be a hard race and in the end it shouldn't be forgotten that many can of course co-exist. Let's see where DO finds its place

There is a web-based wallet but it's not official. If you didn't sync for a year then probably you are on the old chain and you will need to download the latest wallet. Non-DV is a wallet without DeepVault and it starts faster, download it if you are not planning to use DeepVault. Here is the QuickSync guide:
