It takes just under an hour to start the client (99% sync), is this normal?

OSC is clunky has been since the way back in the day but it works. If the devs are willing a hard fork should be done to speed up min. stake time and look for the best code patches to speed the load time and mem consumption.

Cool thing is OSC is less about wallet adoption, more about the POW side of the network, so most of the network support is handled by mine pools and other servers. Still need some 'stakers' to stabilize it but OSC is not dependent on always needing many stakers to keep it up.

As an investor you can treat it like POW (cold storage) ... hopefully we can start with some micro finance project soon.
