Good job there OP ! Bitcoin could be the seed for next big revolution, artists are definitely need to share their role in this. It's possible release of these documentaries might drive the price of Bitcoin in January.
thanks, hard to keep up to date whith so much happening in this fast-changing economy. Btc world still feels like a parallel universe to me when looking at everyday life and realizing all the potential market niches. Because btc is not like any high-tech company's product its "advertising channels" are small and rely on an active "movement" of creative people spreading the word via online media channels and superior apps in the future. As soon as big players see the growing consuming power & possible profits we will reach the next stage accompanied by huge mass media coverage. (though i have the theory companies will rather launch their own currencies in exchange for bitcoin instead of integrating it directly)

For now, atleast drugs suppliers, arms and ammunitions suppliers are making full fledged use of it. It is yet to reach 3rd world countries.
It can unite people throughout nations without any interruption of capitalist companies in between if it blows up. ONE PLANET ONE NATION as they say.

well bitcoin is a tool and humankind will play around and figure out several ways for integration. locigally it docked on black markets in the beginning because of its level of anonymity and easy transferability. i wouldn't underestimate the tools of governments and its authorities though. we are facing a change on the global web where countries can and will at some point start reestablishing virtual borders in the name of "protection" against attacks from the outside. The benefits for microtransactions could play a big role for adaption in the 3rd world, but there's a long way to go. The established financial structures will put a lot of effort in controlling a part of the bitcoin network to sustain its power when they realize its disruptive effect. "one planet one nation" is a nice thought, but imo it's an utopia that will never exist in a perfect form and humanity is still some centuries away from even touching its surface. This is more a shift of a huge amount of wealth towards a specific group of people which comes with a lot of power and responsibility. If this will be used to change the world for the better depends on how big individuals in this group are disrupted by the existing system... I'm optimistic by nature so i know it will turn out good over time, but it will take a long and winding road to get there. (as always during human history)

(as always during human history) Once the money gets out from the hands of those 1% to the 99% the world will be a much much better place to live in. Right now, rich are getting richer and poor, poorer.

running into open doors here, the more even wealth distribution to the lower half of the pyramid the better, but believe me the rich guys have a lot of dirty fiat and filthy propaganda channels in their hands to corrupt this progress and throw stones in its way. (they're well practiced at doing this for centuries) It's like the rise of internet again, a lot of people got rich, stepped up in the pyramid and sold their principles during this process while a small group of honourable people weren't blinded by wealth and continued fighting for the great idea behind it and spreading the word. Now look at the high level of virtual observation and suppression we're facing today, feels like Middle Ages to me in some countries. let's see how this story turns out. interesting times we live in....

"Deep Web: The Untold Story of Bitcoin and Silk Road"kickstarter & teaser: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/alexwinter/deep-web-the-untold-story-of-bitcoin-and-the-silkhere are some articles + an interview about Alex Winter's documentary project: " Deep Web: The Untold Story of Bitcoin and Silk Road" http://www.coindesk.com/bill-ted-alex-winter-direct-silk-road-documentary/http://www.vocativ.com/11-2013/totally-excellent-deep-web-documentary/http://mashable.com/2013/11/20/alex-winter-deep-web-documentary/Article mentions he also directed " Downloaded", a documentary on Napster. (haven't seen it so I can't give a statement to how biased his work is.) Who are you planning to interview for the film?
- The truth is we already started—we’ve already been interviewing. I can’t give you a list of who we’re talking to, but I will tell you that it won’t be shocking names. I’m going directly to the highest level people in Bitcoin, Tor, the black market trading sites. I’m also going to the political side and to the hackers, the pundits, and the people who have a lot to say about how we should go forward. I will say that I’m not interested in making a Silk Road movie. I’ll leave that to a trillion Hollywood people. I’m interested in it as part of a bigger story about the Deep Web and global culture. This gives me hope that besides Hollywood telling their distorted and overacted screenplay in the planned silkroad movie, other people take a more serious approach on the subject and try to show the real story behind it.
