I think it's natural for you to continue to check your investments. This is your investment.

This is the common feeling of many investors entering financial markets and encrypting money markets.

Maybe we're just more than obsessed with our investment, I mean checking it every now and then and don't want to take a break because you don't wanna miss out anything is just some indication that we're just so hook with it.

And every trader can't deny this fact because everyone is so eager to earn decently and if you're not a trader if you just let an opportunity to pass on your face.

It is just normal to view if there is development with your investment or traded coins but I think too much addiction of it will cause to harm to yourself and to your psychological association with others. Maybe one day, you are just staring at coinmarketcap and you are ignoring people sorrounds you.

But there is also disadvantage in it because it consumes most of your time, I do have also an investment and I am doing and checking it every hour or if I do have time, because I am so careful when it comes to choosing the coin I am putting my investment at, as I don't want to lose my money and my time.

Yes of course, traders always look on their portfolio because its the right thing to do so, however if you're goal is for long term better not to look at your investment every seconds of your life because it can result to a decision that is beyond on your goal. Focus on the thing is matter to you, and you will achieve it on time.

Well trading does take a lot of one's time. I even know a few people who are having problems with their spouses already because of spensing too much time monitoring the market movement and their porrfolio. And this often happens if you already have a pretty big amount in it.

Seriously many people are getting addicted to the cryotocurrency trading and investment because it also lime gambling which can give lot of money in short time but we also need to keep time limit with it and never quit your job for cryotocurrency related earning since crypto market is not stable so we have to keep a primary income other than crypto earning and people are addicted to prices many people are watching the proce for every 5 minutes it can affect mentally if the price bumps and dumps causes panic selling too.

Do you ever feel like you're overly obsessed with cryptocurrencies or trading/investing in general?
Personally, I'm fairly satisfied with my investments/decisions so far but yet I'm looking for market opportunities most of the time. I think that's mainly because of the fact that majority of my time browsing the internet I watch related content. I'm passionate quite passionate about it.

Over time it kinda makes me feel depressed that I don't make as much as I possibly could or others have better scores (some unhealthy jealousy I guess?), so this "paper-chasing" has become a target itself.

When I want to take a break from all this stuff for let's say a month or week at least then I'm not able to because I'm afraid that I will miss out on something.
On the one hand, I have made investments in projects I believe in so I could leave it for few months even and then back but at the other hand, I'm still not quite sure about my diversification so I keep watching the market.

Can anyone relate?

I think that there is always a possibility for this to happen, most especially if you always get good deals and gain good profit. For a person who is so hell-bent on attaining and objective, it would seem that you would have to be an "addict" because you have to closely monitor and check everything in the market. However, I think that instead of coining it as addiction, I think that it is more appropriate to just call it diligence. Since its a venture that you went into, it is also normal to expect that you would do anything you can to make it work and to avoid negative things from happening like a loss. And for that, you really have to take into account every action you do.
Diligence is good enough in the market and most times, I feel it is just something we cannot help, but over time, one gets better knowing that you cannot run faster than the market unless you are just gambling. As long as you have something you are looking forward to, you should always stay relaxed. I was guilty of this for a long time, until I got used to the market, but generally, being an addict in this world, is not a bad thing as far as I am concerned.

All things aren't bad as long we done it on moderation but if you are already coming a point on where you are engaging on it too much and doing it on constant basis which turns out eventually to consume your time and compromising already lots of things then this is indeed an addiction which do normally affect your usual routine since time allocation isn't already proper. This is why its always important to be aware on our actions and maintain the balance.

Absolutely, and I'm glad to not be alone! Actually, I'm addicted to forex, and I?m just a beginner in crypto, but I can predict that this will be my next mania... :-)))))

By what you are saying it looks like you have a pathological addiction to forex which many consider trading but I say it is more of a gamble. You should seek help for your addiction as forex same as gambling can make you lose important part of your life, like your job, family and parents. I do casual trading as I am a trader for commodities at my work but we only do fundamental analysis for commodities and we do not rush into decisions.

Until now I do not know anyone in  forex to have made money out of it with trading. I am not optimistic for forex and I don't recommend it.

Whether you are planning to take a break or not, but I can make some guess from your statements that you are a highly emotional trader who really feels disturbed when you are doing overtrading or practising often. Better you take some long break of 2 months or try to trade with little break in between so that you get fresh when you are facing losses or wins on a consistent basis. Try to be strong on Psychology part where you can make big troubles if you didn't track it on regular basis. Don't worry about the addiction, it is seen normally on every newbie and it will slowly get down once you get some years of experience.

Yes all of us had this kind of greedy targets of addiction to cryptocoins, my friend which I learned that he trades for almost 10 months and it seem he don't have to work in our company anymore just to join this seriously signature campaigns. Now and then I realize that it is the time for leaving the company.

Be careful. Trading is a very addicting activity, and if you don't discipline yourself you'll start to neglect your family, your friends, your own health.
Lot of people suffered a nervous brekdown, expecially it you star to work at night.
So...take care, and at the first signes of addition, ask for help.

I am done with my obsession with trading. I just taught my self its not beneficial to trade every time.  Trading needs a complete and through analysis. I want my every trade to become successful so I only trade or buy an alt on its dip.

As of now I'm busy with holding and buying ICO. I'm looking for longterm investments.

The adrenaline, the quick movements, the large increase and decreases within minutes make crypto a gamblers paradise.

It's easy to trade, extremely hard to lock your coins in cold storage and go do something else.

I think trading can become an addiction, crypto is especially addictive due to it's volatile nature.

Even if it is an addiction, it is one of the best addictions I have ever heard about. It gives a lot of belief into your own abilities and brings very good profit!

The challenge is that it's so interesting. Crypto is a little bit like a cult.
Grin So you are saying we are all in a cult and that is why we are so addicted to every activity related to cryptocurrency. In as much as I have tried to stay away from checking the value at times, I just find myself doing it without even knowing. It is either I am trying to check how they are doing for long or how low they are going. Although, being a long trader, I really do not do it that much compared to some who are short or day traders.

Money makes you addict. Same is happening with gamblers out there. This is root cause for their addiction to gambling as they think this can be good source of income. But they loss many times still why their intention don’t change? Only for the reason they became addicted with it. Bitcoins have such addiction too but I think this is some different line where people are addicted for profit.
