Faucets are a great way to learn about Bitcoin IF you’re patient. They’re definitely not what they used to be, and are rarely worthwhile for various reasons, unless you’re in it for the long haul. First, it takes many months to accrue a balance that is worthy of withdrawing without sacrificing a loss to the current transaction fee issue, and secondly, a lot of small transactions/withdrawals can create multiple inputs, which will increase transaction sizes when trying to spend your bitcoin later.

I will say, however, that if you have a lot of influence and the ability to create a solid way to gain referrals, you can earn a bit just by referring users to faucets that pay out a good referral commission. I know times are different now vs when I got into the game, but I used to earn 0.1-0.5BTC per month from referral commissions alone. This is back when BTC was worth under $1k each, so the BTC amount is definitely not the same, but the opportunity to earn is there if you’re patient and have a persevering personality.

Yes most of the bitcoins faucet are legitimate and you will earn free satoshies from performing some task on the website but the time spent and the amount receive makes it a complete waste of time. I havnt seen anybody claiming he can make a living or reasonable income from faucet.

I've been involved in trying some bitcoin faucets on the site for getting bitcoin for free but it's not working and it's very time consuming. I draw the experience that you should not waste your time on free bitcoin programs because you do so much still not enough min pay so you can get income.

It's a website that wastes your time. If you really want to start to accumulate Bitcoin without 'buying' it, then take a look at Lauda thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0. There is a better way to earn Bitcoin rather than in Faucets.

bitcoin faucets are a reward system, in the form of a website or app.
faucets are a great way to help introduce new people to bitcoin. majority of faucets provide information to new users and offer them some free coins so that they can try before they buy. experimenting with a test transaction or two before putting real money . since this whole experience is so new and a bit complicated to people who don’t quite trust it with their hard money, this is a beneficial way to promote
digital currency and bring in new users.

Most of the bitcoin faucets I visit are legit like primedice and freebitco.in though they really give very little amount of satoshi but the opportunity they give to those beginners who want to earn is really something I admire. For almost half year of doing faucet I earn .0012 bitcoin  Grin and I consider that as an investment for the future, who knows if bitcoin will worth $100,000 that investment can really harvest a huge amount of profit.

A bitcoin faucet is one of the apps.or games that gives a small amount of btc when you win and you can claim it by transferring in your wallet. Which you can also play it by scrolling a captcha until an hour.

Faucet Bitcoin is a site / website that gives Bitcoin a certain amount to its visitors by way of CLAIM a number of Bitcoin provided for free.
Usually to get or claim the FREE BITCOIN:visitors are required to enter a Bitcoin address in the form of a wallet code or email address.
After that visitors must fill in the Captcha code that has been provided as a way to verify that the claim is not a robot. Click the claim button.
And if the Captcha code matches then the amount of Bitcoin provided is instantly transferred to the address of the Bitcoin wallet.

I came across this site where people can roll the dice, earn free bitcoins and also multiply them. How legit are these sites and how to use them effectively?

There are many sites like Gambling and Casino websites where you are given bitcoins everytime you win on a gamble and other than this there are also some sites that pay you Bitcoin for simple works, spins, and games which are called faucets where you are given some part of Bitcoins each time when you spin or play that particular game. Now here there is very little chance that you are going to win because all their sites are automated by the BOTS and I don't think you can win over those BOTS easily and even if you are winning then you need to spend tons of time and efforts here, so better don't waste your time here.

I guess OP if you really want to earn BTC, then I suggest you go to signature and social media campaign. Really, faucets are just a waste of time you cannot earn a decent amount of money from it.
