Hi Guys,

Someone kindly helped me with my stuck transaction, i think with viaBTC. So it now shows up as confirmed in my Blockchain wallet but in my Bitfinex wallet which is where i sent the money it is still saying unconfirmed but with now 234/3 confirms??

Is that right? why does the confirms keep going up but you only need 3? doesn't make sense right?

Thanks

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

It doesn't make sense, but then that's how it is with site wallets. Exchanges and other sites often change the number of confirmations needed before they credit your account, usually when the network is unstable, wallets are facing issues, forking events, things like that. If it showed up on Bitfinex then you shouldn't need to worry. Little else you can do but wait; it might help to alert support about it, giving them your tx ID and deposit address.

Not sure what you mean "with ViaBTC"... if you used Blockchain wallet and it shows up as confirmed on block explorer, then that's all there is to it. You can't change how the receiving party decides to credit you on your account.

I have exactly the same problem: 0,5 BTC deposit to Bitfinex, too low fee, paid ViaBTC, transaction has been accelerated, now 1000+ confirmations. Bitfinex displays this number of confirmations like 1059/3, but the deposit is still unconfirmed. No reaction to support ticket created 2017-12-29.

Usually this is solved by making another tiny deposit to the same address.
That should push the previous transaction to be acknowledged by the system.

Apart from a support ticket you can try this also.

Good idea! Trigger the confirmation-script with another deposit. This is worth a try.

I have tried to get the stuck deposit confirmed by sending a second deposit - no luck. The second deposit was confirmed as expected, but the first one remains unconfirmed. Embarrassed
