I like the ideas of scrap coins, now that there was a choice, so thats how I voted.  But I do love the allure of silver bars.

I like the ideas of scrap coins, now that there was a choice, so thats how I voted.  But I do love the allure of silver bars.

I like the idea of Bars because they are easier to store in cigar boxes etc.  But I would also like to be able to buy these Max Keiser Ethical Silver

Rounds tend to have a higher premium, but are also easier to sell, bars are a bit cheaper, but more difficult to sell. I'm not sure if this applies if both are APMEX generics though. I haven't bought/sold any of those.

Yes, there can be some special coins later, but at the start it's all generic designs

bump personally i like the bars but im also fond of the scrap coins in my eyes its easier to trade smaller scrap coins with silver than bars or rounds

Some folks choose coins for their ease of hiding underground.
Some PVC pipe cut to fit your stack, some plumbers tape for a good seal against water, and X marks the spot.
