Rounds tend to have a higher premium, but are also easier to sell, bars are a bit cheaper, but more difficult to sell. I'm not sure if this applies if both are APMEX generics though. I haven't bought/sold any of those.

Yes, there can be some special coins later, but at the start it's all generic designs

Some folks choose coins for their ease of hiding underground. Some PVC pipe cut to fit your stack, some plumbers tape for a good seal against water, and X marks the spot.
