Patience. It may take some time, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I feel as if everyone is expecting the value of BTC to increase on an unrealistic time frame. Anyway, is your goal to always sell BTC for cash? If not, buy something that you need from one of the many vendors that sell things or save them until a time when you do need something.

I would wait a few days to see which direction the trend is going. Right now the charts showing a great deal of indecision. Soon we will see if it will move back up or fall down some more.. . whichever direction it move to, it will keep moving that way for a while.

I really don't understand the point of a "mining company"
Why would someone rent out their servers to mine?
I mean if it's more profit mining why rent it to mine for someone else?

support@bitinstant.com sent you 35.6455 Bitcoins (worth about $476.24) using Coinapult.com.
Bitcoins are a new digital currency used all over the world - now that you have some, feel free to spend them anywhere Bitcoins are accepted.

To store your Bitcoins, you'll need a Bitcoin wallet. We recommend Blockchain.info/wallet
To receive your 35.6455 Bitcoins from the Coinapult, click below or copy and paste the following URL:

https://coinapult.com/retrieve?to=blahblahblah%40gmail.com&secret=faosfdtekzm
(no personal information of any kind is required - not even your name)

Message from the sender - support@bitinstant.com

I spent them all the same week that I bought them. I try to have no regrets in this life but that makes it difficult.

A properly secured wallet with bitcoin is in my opinion the safest, most secure, best all-around bet for holding wealth at this moment in history. Go ahead, call me crazy. They've been calling me crazy since 2013.

I heard of BTC in early 2011, made a half-assed attempt to setup a miner, failed - and put the topic aside.

Today I catch me thinking, that I could have been a millionaire. But then I realise, I know myself, I probably wouldn't have more BTCs than I have now, because I dumped them at every semi-crash, gave most of them to pirateat40 or invested them (and a lot more real cash) in some other shady BTC-investment-opportunities.

So I'm quite sure, I would have less BTC/money now if I fiddled around with them since 2011  Cheesy

Thats destiny. If you earn it, you earned it. If not, you didn't.

I'm sorry you sold out your stake earlier when the price was just $15.

However, a lot of people are in the same boat as you.  If you were asking this question today, and I know you're not, I actually read the thread before responding, I don't see how you can be too upset selling a small portion of your horde at todays prices.  So if I had 22 BTC (and I don't, I don't even have 10% of that!) I'd be tempted to sell 2 of them now.  That way if the price crashes you can still say you got something out of it and not have a lot of regrets.  On the other hand if the price goes to 10,000 USD per coin, you're still so rich you really don't give a shit about selling a couple of them at 850 USD.

Good Luck and don't stress over it!

It's one of this things where its easier to say "should have" after you already know.

If I were to sell 1 BTC right now, i'd make 400% profit on my BTC.  However, if BTCs were to go up to $10k in a  year, i'd be beating myself up too.  Or if BTC were to drop to $1...i'd be estatic that I sold.

At that point in time, you made the right decision.  No one has any way of predicting what the future will hold.

From what I have read, many people who have sold have come to regret it. That said, I have no experience day-trading and would refer you to those with more experience in the nuances of generating profit on bitcoin exchanges Smiley

I suppose one healthy method would be to reimburse yourself for any initial expenses, and select an appropriate percentage to convert to your currency of choice so that you have a sense of security, while keeping some assets within the bitcoin system such that your portfolio can continue to grow.
