I feel as though after the crash bitcoin needed some time to steady itself and confidence is now being restored. I don't feel as though we will be breaking through 20k just yet as it seems fairly soon, what I a fairly sure of is that once we do break 20k it will be a big breakthrough instead of just a little bit past 20k.

My thought that the price of bitcoin will slightly increase asap. But the problem is the majority of people are using another chain to avoid the bitcoin transaction. just like if you are using ripple and that won't make you wait for some hours or even a day just for a single confirmation. and then $20k looks difficult until another major news will come.

I think the price movement is still a bit stuck if it's going to lead to $20k, I guess it wouldn't be up to $20k if for this month, maybe it will just approach it, but seem I'm really believe if in the February.. it's most likely the price touched $20k.

there are still a lot of FUD going around regarding bitcoin and the mempool is still huge which means still increasing fees. these increase the hardness of a rise because they contribute to the sell pressure. the fact that price has already been over $17000 twice in the last 24 hours and stayed near it so far shows that there is a lot of more buy support for bitcoin.

but we are getting closer to the point which rise becomes a little bigger and then the FOMO buyers come back and then it shoots up above $20k before you can ask what happened.

Lets, not be too sure that the price of bitcoin will rise to $20,000. I mean we should use what happened last year December to judge, a lot of people predicted $50,000 while a lot of people went as far as predicting it to $100,000, even those whom went on to bet it. At the end, Bitcoin closed the year with the price of $12k-$13k Although, not that its not capable of reaching 20k, I just think it may not happen this January it may be probably on February or March.

$20k is still a long way to go and will not happen anytime soon, the fact that bitcoin network is still not stable and its the hindrance for bitcoin growth.
Regular users of bitcoin are not happy with the way the network is going out, they should fix it first then we might see the $20k again or even higher.

The most intractable problem bitcoin encountered is still transaction fees. the majority of bitcoin currently used for the purpose of the reserve. I feel like people are watching it is digital gold but the main purpose of bitcoin is born to the transaction. however demand for the use of bitcoin is still great and prices will soon hit $ 20k mark

Yeah, I was really hoping mempool would slowly drop, but sort of like the price, it seems to meet a resistance at 150k transactions. Of course, still a lot healthier than the 300k days of December, and at least the fees needed to get it confirmed in a day isn't too bad (can't quite believe it's come to this sort of thinking though!). I'm actually amazed that the price is climbing despite all those transactions in queue - so you're probably right on the buy support.

I still feel it's far too early for another rise, would much prefer a stabilisation period. But Bitcoin doesn't get told where to go, I guess.

i am still feeling pretty bullish and i have yet to find a reason for changing my mind. it seems like a pretty solid rise to me so far. and lets not forget that this is the "first week" of the year. we are literary 7 days into 2018, and we shouldn't really be expecting lots of activity in the price despite what is happening.

This time ripple took side of altcoins as well as bitcoin and people are investing in ripple instead of buying bitcoin. I personally like the idea of ripple among all other altcoins but i will follow both the bitcoin and ripple.
I can not say how much time bitcoin will take exactly to reach $20k buy of course it will slightly keep increasing to touch a new record in crypto market

Yeah surely bitcoin will reach the 20K but it needs some time to recover because of the rapid growth of ripple.Many bitcoin investors moved to ripple to make quick money but they will cashout when price starts to fall so they will reinvest on bitcoins soon when the ripple hype gets over.

The chart kind of looks like it could go up, but the books are still weak meaning there isn't a bunch of new fiat coming into the exchanges like there used to be so it's probably just going to be more sideways.

hmm $ 20k in next 2 months. It will happen but if for the next 2 months I feel this will not happen. If in the middle of this year, I will believe it will happen.

I am loving this ride of bitcoin. Truly speaking I never liked the unexpected jump btc immediately made after it reached 19k after 9k in just a week or so. it was too fake and looked really as if BTC is a ponzi. But then came the huge correction which put btc back on track. Today we can actually say that btc is moving with a very good pace taking with it the whole alts market too. This way no one is in any big loss for sure.

Yes, the bitcoin price will break the $20,000 again but no one knows exactly when that is going to happen. Surely, there must be some ups and downs before the price can reach $20k but it's all about time. Bitcoin will definitely break that level and continue it journey from where it stopped and heading back to the moon.

yes...BITCOIN will soon create a new record price. I think $15000 is the new base price for BTC and it trying to grow steadily to achieve the new record price. I expect BTC at $20k within next 15 days.

It has already been on that price before, if i am not wrong, it was less than a month ago after December 15th, when the price was going up by aproximately $1k and $2k a day, that was crazy.

And yes, we touched that, so it can be touching it again.

But it is very obvious that once that that psycho bar is broken, the price will skyrocket again and it will probably be moving toward $25k finally.
