Thank you for setting this up!
One thing could add value to this. If the data was downloadable as a simple CSV file this would lower the entry barrier for those who work with spreadsheets. Would be great if you made this available also for historical data (for instance since trading commenced on Mt.Gox).
What is represented by "Total market volume (24h)". Is this the volume for those exchanges which were included in the calculation? It would be of great help if the volume became part of the downloadable data.
Hi A valuable proposition indeed. In fact we do have historical data in .csv. For example here is all our historical data for USD: Yet you are completely right - this data is buried deep inside the API and without certain development knowledge it would be not easy to find it. We'll add direct links to this data soon, and you can use links I've provided above for now, these are live links with correct and up to date info. To access other currencies just change currency code in the URL from USD to whatever else available on site. Keep in mind one thing - we've started logging data no so long ago, so there might be not much to analyse yet (we didn't dig into history before BitcoinAverage.com was live). Regards Alex at BitcoinAverage Cool, thank you!

We've added SSL on both website and API. Website users are redirected to https:// links automatically, while API users need to manually switch URLs to https. Nothing changed in the API structure itself, just the protocol.

Just an update to let you know we've now moved servers. Anyone using our old servers IP instead of domain name for API calls should make sure they switch over ASAP. The old server will remain online for another week to allow people to do this!

We now have ticker images for people to use on their website/blog! Prices are updated at 5 minute intervals. Currently only available for USD/EUR/GBP, and only as shown below. Though with enough usage and demand we can add some variations

Great! Something smaller to use in post like this possible? Hey, this is slightly different and really would probably be easier for the person maintaining that service to add our rates as all the code is already in place. Though if there is a lot of demand for it we can look into doing it!

Not sure if already mentioned, but for last month or so most daily Bitcoin trading volume was in CNY markets. Google translate of the summary page is here http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A//btckan.com/price%0ACurrently the average incorporates less than half total CNY based Bitcoin volume, probably because bitcoincharts.com does not carry those CNY markets, is there a way to scrape the stats ? P.S. Thanx for your service, it's long overdue and is great !

Great site! Feature request: It would be awesome if one could select which sources to draw into a chart. One line per exchange, all in the same timeframe. So you can see in one chart how the proces behave differently (or not) on the various exchanges.

P.S. Thanx for your service, it's long overdue and is great ! Hi Yeah, we know that bitcoin market in China roars, and we've integrated with all exchanges we found that provide a public API we could use. We're not using bitcoincharts data for CNY as they really don't have much data for this market. I've rechecked this list and as far as I see we're integrated with: - Bitcoin China (btcchina) - ฿28280.89
- FXBTC - ฿2222.23
- Bitcoin trading network (btctrade) - ฿6002.82
- League bitcoin people (rmbtb) - ฿1338.51
- Bit children (bter) - ฿1228.23
- GoXBTC - ฿1223.14
- OkCoin - ฿8300.27
- total integrated volume: ฿48596.09
and not integrated with - Bit Pioneer - ฿535.96
- BTC100 - ฿13147.02
- China bitcoin - ฿4021.33
- Fire currency net - ฿6803.31
- 42BTC - ฿36.57
- total not integrated volume: ฿24,544.19
So unintegrated exchanges make up 33% of market volume. That's a noticeable cut and we definitely would like to integrate, but none of these exchanges provide an API usable for integration. Technically it's possible to scrape their homepages HTML and try to parse values from it, yet it's complex and rather not reliable, so we didn't look into implementing it. However, if someone would like to implement such scraping and send me a pull request - I'll add it to the site for sure. Or if you know any other CNY exchange that we are not integrated yet with that has an API - just let me know, we'll integrate asap. Regards Alex at BitcoinAverage PS: I've just reenabled btctrade.com integration (they had problems with SSL recently and API was failing for a while, so it was off for technical reasons). +5000BTC daily volume to CNY average.

I guess you mean volumes chart, right? Hmm, makes sense, we'll look into adding this somewhere soon. Alex at BitcoinAverage
