How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I think buying coins when ico is more profitable because you will get some bonus tokens.
while when the coin enter your exchanger will not get any bonus.

Most token price after ico is dump, depend on that true token value and the price will recover fast or slow. But mostly price will drop 50% than ico price.

of course, we can get the bonus if we buy coins when ico is started is profitable but there is no guarantee for us to see the price will increase after it's launch in the exchanges. as far as I know, when the ico release in the exchange, there will be a pump until it's high and then dump too hard and the price will stay at the bottom and needs time to increase to the normal price. no one will know when the price increase or decrease especially if we talking about ico because the ico itself needs time to prove their project it's good or not and then people will give their opinion. if they have a good opinion then they buy and invest the coin and if it's not, then the coin price will be staying for a long time.

the average price of coin in the ICO is $ 1 but not infrequently that wets $ 0.1 price but the future of coin depends upon launch. and in fact after the launch they all lose their identity, so I think if you are not sure with ico you will invest should just wait them in exchange.

Personally, for myself, I've already looked at several projects, the coins of which I will not buy during ICO. In one of them, they set a minimum limit on the purchase, but I do not need so much, and the price is quite high. And after going to the stock exchange, I think I should buy this coin. I think that it will not cost as well as on ICO.

Very interesting. Thank you all for your replies !
Of course any more input about what often or not so often happens and how to profit from this is always welcome.

I don't know how often it happens, but prices do definitely go below the ICO price. A majority of the time it happens because of pumping and dumping. People will group together and buy some coin at very cheap rates, especially new coins, and as soon as the price moves up a little bit, they will dump all of their coins.

And yes, coins do skip the ICO stage. A lot of people view the ICO stage as proof that a coin is a scam and believe that true developers would not ICO. On the contrary, some view an ICO as necessary to get a coin some exposure and use.

This makes a lot of sense and is something we should all be aware of and watch out for when investing in new ICOs and cryptos.  I personally feel that ICOs Are a good thing and I like participating in them every chance I get. Not Only to support the project, but has another number mentioned you also have the possibility for bonus tokens. I’m still learning the intricacies of the whole thing myself.

Yes of course! Some project skip ICO such as byteball and Aidos Kuneen. S lot of coins have distribution as airdrop (byteball) and a few of them go with their skin directly to the market as Aidos Kuneen. You have plenty options what to choose

I disagree, because a lot of is based just on promises...give me an example ICO which has been proven with three or four years development and achieve all goals, i would say no one is there

Buy in ico or after hitting exchanger has its own risk and profit. They have its own pros and cons. So its your choice after all.

Usually, your advantage during ICO is that you will get bonus tokens but then you will not know the price of the coin when it hit the exchanges and if that ICO has a bounty campaign then upon the distribution of bounties, some bounty hunters would dump their coins immediately causing for a drop in price. Some would stay low for months and some projects would just shoot up in price upon hitting the exchanges because when a project has a really big potential and some investors cannot invest because they are from a country restricted in joining ICOs then they would buy the coin when it is on exchanges that's why price would go high in just a few days or weeks. There are some projects though who are late bloomers and it takes some time for them before surpassing the ICO price.

Yes it is normal to see price get down after ICO especially it gets listed on exchange just after the ICO end. Most investors will sell it directly to make profit especially if they bought it during ICO and get some bonuses. Probably they will keep the bonus only for future hope that the price will increase.
I myself is not an ICO lover, I will prefer to wait until the coins get listed into exchange. At that time I will have more opportunity to see the markets to decide whether to buy or not.

Best place is going to be two places actually, it's going to be right in the start of the ICO stage (given it's a good idea, good team, etc) and the other time is going to be right after the dump on the exchanges, as the people who participated in the ICO want to see some of their money so this brings on a ton of people trading instantly their coins. Buying on the dump is pretty solid, as the value goes up drastically after this time -- in most cases this is, not all.

So, two as I said.

Depending on many factors everybody evaluating for himself. I think team, experience and idea itself are the core. If you believe in them, go ahead to ico. If not, wait, maybe it will not reach exchange

Ethereum, ripple? And i know another project such as santiment with a working product and tenx you can try to use the tenx card to pay something. This is just the matter of time until a lot of people will be realizing about the fact they are still in the development progress. Please do more research about that

Just buy the tokens on the ICO, they are always going to go up, doesn't matter what, and that guy who is saying that they are always dumped does not even know about what is he talking about.

Seriously? They are almost the most profitable thing that has ever existed.
