Use a paper wallet they say.............

Well I have a paper wallet here, now around 4 years old ...
Trying to revive my coins of and on every 3 months now for the last 2 years. (hundred of hours I spend)
Simply impossible....
Tried it all, VM, windows with original location of installations with datadirs everywhere and trying to point Armory to it.

Have it sometimes online, while connected (0 blocks)

Got:

Wallet v.: 1.35c
Wallet ID: ....
Wallet name: Primary Wallet
Backup Type: Single-Sheet (Secure Print tm)
Also the root key which work as with the Secure Print it gives my Wallet ID, when importing.

But you know what is funny ? Maybe normal tho, but don't think so.
- When I try to backup my Key List, I get everything ok, Wallet ID and Wallet name, but the Root key is completly different ...

Have a hundred of btc addresses it gathered from thin air, but all with zero balance. (Did created a few, because I've read somewhere that you need to create blanc addresses to catch your own BTC adress ... )

Any help would be appreciated, but dunno what can be done, I am online and connected got my paper wallet recovered with no errors ... so I guess this Armory software lost me my coins ... No idea anymore.
First Mt Gox now Armory lol, it seems it isn't for me Smiley

Not really online if it only says 0 blocks. Is Bitcoin Core fully synced with the network?
Armory version? Don't say latest. Exact version, please. Core version would be useful too.

At this moment:
BTC Core is 0.15.0
Armory is 0.96.2

I'm aware of the newer version, tested with dozens of version combinations, nothing has worked.
These versions gave me the most trust and feels most stable, also this combination is what I seem to read mostly by the community to use.
Am yet again testing this very moment with an -reindex-chainstate of the Core, so need another couple of hours to test again.

But 0 blocks, you say ... is where a problem exist ... I never seen anything other than 0 blocks I think ... connected/online. Blockchain loaded, ... wallets sync'ed and -> Wallets consistent and synced.

Most stable version? If Armory isn't finding the blocks, that doesn't ring true to me.
Core 0.15 should be fine.

I would however strongly suggest you upgrade to Armory 0.96.4 RC1 on Windows, or RC2 if you aren't.
Armory doesn't use the chainstate files from Core at all, so a -reindex-chainstate won't make a difference. A standard -reindex might if there was some sort of block corruption, but nothing suggests that is required yet.
That said, if you've been hopping around different Armory versions, your Armory database might've been corrupted.

Either way, worth posting your log files:
For logs head to C:\Users\YourUsernameHere\AppData\Roaming\Armory (Or %appdata%\Armory)
Should see dbLog.txt and armorylog.txt there. Add those to pastebin (or cryptbin if preferred) and paste the links here.

This is because Armory has not fully connected/synced properly with your Bitcoin Core install.  Armory can only "see" transactions that were included in blocks up to the current block number that is has synced, so logically, if it says that number of blocks = 0, then it can't see ANY transactions Tongue

If on Windows, you need to update to Armory 0.96.4 RC1 (aka 0.96.3.99 available here: https://github.com/goatpig/BitcoinArmory/releases/tag/v0.96.3.99)
If NOT on Windows, you need to update to Armory 0.96.4 RC2 (aka 0.96.3.991 available here: https://github.com/goatpig/BitcoinArmory/releases/tag/v0.96.3.991)

Also, having run several versions of Armory, you might find you need to delete your Armory databases.. (on Windows, most likely: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Armory\databases)... delete everything in that directory. Then, start Bitcoin Core, wait until it is fully synced... then start Armory.
