It will take a while and there will need to be more hype again, but it is entirely possible to see the entire market start to pick up sooner rather than later, assuming there is enthusiasm from the community and everyone is excited to get involved again. It's probably going to take a decent period of time since we are not on a bull run and there is a need for some real hype for the market to crawl up another $4k. It's not impossible to have it within the month, but it is significantly unlikely right now.

we all know that no one can really guess when will this happen.
all we can do right now is be hopeful that it will surpass it's ATH in the future.
but as far as i can see there is a great possibility that it will happen within a 2 month period.
though there will be a slower incline right now as compared to the incline we experienced last year.

Well, base on last year increase I think the increase will happen on jun or july . I think this year bitcoin will reach 100k hopefully if the bitcoin continues its increase like last year.

I do not answer with certainty, but I see BTC today is still running slow. so it will take a long time. probably mid-to-2018 BTC will again rise above $ 20,000.

Everyone has been expecting bitcoin to see it @ $20,000 at this first quarter of the year and base on what we can see, the price is moving quite slow at the very beginning of this year and after the news that Thiel bought a lot of bitcoins then it boosted the price.

And as of now, the price went back $15,800 and moved forward at $16,000 so there's a thousand difference already after a couple of days.

If bitcoin will bounce back with the same amount, so we can see $20,000 in a couple of weeks but still bitcoin's movement is unpredictable.

I am actually very optimistic about 2018. If we can see only 50% of the growth of last year, then $20 000 per bitcoin will be a bad price. You have to remember that the Bitcoin price rose from $1000 <Jan '17> to almost $20 000 at the end of 2017. That was a price increase of close to 1000% for 2017.

I will be more than happy with a price increase to $30 000 per bitcoin for 2018. ^smile^

the value of the bitcoin was 1000 dollars before 2015 it has reached almost 17000 dollars in 2017 i am sure that it will reach 20000 dollars by 2018

I am sure, Bitcoin will hit $20k, when the price goes up again. Currently it is fluctuating around $15k and this might continue a little bit longer.
In 2017 the first time the $5k milestone was hit, Bitcoin retracted to $3k levels, before it rose again and just broke through the $5k mark and beyond.
Most likely, it is just a matter of time, be patient.

Bitcoin price correction is happening it will traded between 15000$ to 17000$ stable value for next couple of days or months . Now ethereum making it original move may soon ether will hit 2000$ . So Bitcoin good to hold for long term

My thoughts probably match with most of the other posters here, I think we will see Bitcoin back at around $20,000 with in the next 2 - 3 months and I think this time it will stay above this level for the remainder of the year.

Bitcoin is the digital currency and i think the price will touch the $20k figure in the next two months the users are demanding bitcoin very high but some of them are shifting to the Ethereum as well and the preferences are changed people is now looking to the altcoins. the bitcoin have recorded history and the inspirational prices as well.

In my opinion maybe around February. I don't think it will take long unless there are major issues on bitcoin. Although we really do have major issue like high transaction fee, but i think we can still reach that amount very soon.
