The idea itself is really tough. I am more than sure that the guys will have the greatest success and it will become ICO of the year, the project #1. All will be winners.

The founder of the Telegram Pavel Durov is really a great man.
The creator of the most popular social network in the contact, better messenger in my opinion (Telegram)
Telegram, it's kind of like an old "Apple".

I think we should wait official announce from Telegram and don't join any ICO about it now. Many scam ICO use it and take our money. But I think it can work if its the same guys. The Telegram app is great.

I am still waiting for the official announcement on this issue because on twitter they do not talk about this issue and I am very worried and are considering carefully before investing in the project. If this is the true project of the telegram then I would definitely invest in large amounts and will keep for a long time.

I think that most infromation it is true, but I think that minimal amount of investment will be not availble for most of people here. Also I think that the price of ETH will be increased if contributions will be accepted in Ethereum

I am of the same opinion as you. Most likely, they would only open up to accredited investors, just like tZero did. Otherwise they would need too much resources to deal with lots and lots of  support issues from hundreds of thousands of small investors. Now having said that, I do wish they would somehow find a way in their kind heart to let us, small investors join the ICO

As for now, Telegram ICO is only for big wall street sharks. They will buy it's tokens for low price and then sell (partially of course) them to you at 3-5x. Easy money.

Didn't the owner of telegram already tweet there wasn't going to be any ico whatsoever?

This is probably the most enigmatic and scandalous project. No one knows for sure whether ICO will be or it is just a rumor. Also there was a statement in Twitter by Durov that TON is a scam. I do not know where the truth is.
