It seems that the telegram team is not going to organize the ICO. If they wanted to hold this event, then some official information would be published that would confirm this fact. Now it's not very clear who started talking about the ICO first, but this definitely increased the popularity of the telegram messenger.

Based on Forbes article you need $500 000 to invest and tokens are locked up for 2 years so I can't see it hitting exchanges soon.

I read the news that the telegram team gave up the public ICO. The entire amount will be sold to private investors.

Well that's really a shady doing and they have actually an airdrop and their ico is totally insane. IMO, maybe I should visit their website and read the whitepaper so these will be all make sense. I just don't get it what project or upgrade they'll do in their app.

Return the money in case of failure - I think it is part of the contract with major investors. Since the contract before a certain date must be blockchain and tokens of the project.

I think it's just an opportunity for someone to get HYPE! No more. A lot of gossip are walking around this project, a lot of channels in telegram write news more and more, only one question in my mind:
Where do they all take it from?)
I haven't seen the official TON community in telegram earlier, and I guess I wouldn't see it before Durov's official announcement.
So come on, and have a bit of patience, don't make mistakes by participating in scam associated with Telegram ICO, like bonuses from our channel, or something like "we have our own investment fund and you can get more from this ICO if you will invest being a part of our community pool..." Etc.
