Nice info, will take a closer look on those coins. I'm also looking to pick some cheap coins with x10-x50 potential in ~6 months since almost all of top100 coins are way to expensive right now

This is really the simplest but most effective advice I've ever had. The last time I actually saw the coin was very low value, but in the last session has increased extremely strong price and help investors believe it received a huge profit. I think that sometimes business philosophy is simply "buy cheapest, sell highest".

It is because bitcoin is very expensive and newbies are trying to find way to get rich in short time so they choose cheap coins and they hope price will increase 50 or 100 times. Not all coins are going to increase their value so it is like gambling. Bitcoin is different, because whatever people buy eventually they will exchange their cheap coins for bitcoin. It won't grow 100 times but holding bitcoin is like holding gold.

Waves lost the battle in the ICO outbreak. I don't think it will be making a comback as Ethereum keeps rising. Waves is easier for asset creation user-wise but there are more feature rich alternatives like NXT which was pre-existing and now the new Ignis in the Ardor platform. I think that from now on, it'd only be downhill for Waves.

As I said earlier, I'm a beginner and I tend to watch coins that are rather popular. If I see the coin is a popular topic in the discussion boards and social media, and especially if there are many positive reviews from people, then I tend to believe it has more chances to be successful. If a coin is not popular at all, and hardly anyone heard of it, I won't touch it.
Are there any coins that seemed to be popular and had potential but failed? Please provide examples

I also hold Linda and on the 2nd quarter, it will go soar like a pheonix because it will be listed in many exchanges and one of them are those popular exchanges like Binance and Bittrex.

Sage advice, of course it's easier said than done to pick the right low priced alt coin. I think if one has the resources a good plan is to put some in ethereum and bitcoin for long term hodling and with the balance go for well researched low priced alts. If they start mooning don't pull out all the gains, take some out for whatever but leave a lot anticipating even larger gains.

This used to be right but the logic is also extremely bugged and flawed. Because if you assume ETH and BTC (or one of them) keep rising forever, it would mean some day they are worth more than the whole planet, and then they own the whole universe and so on. At some point Bitcoin cannot rise anymore because all money is in it. The higher bitcoin is, the slower it can gain. See when Bitcoin was 100 Million. It was easy to go to 200 Million. Needed just one whale to invest really and your bitcoin went from $50 to $100 or whatever. But now bitcoin is 230 billion its a bit harder to double your $15k. So thats why many people think that bitcoin actually may stay at $15k for quite a long time, and so thats why people go more in Altcoins where many of them can double a day. For several days in a row.

Cheap always good for those coins which have high potential, and being sold at low prices are worth buying.

Thank you for your list!
Buy cheap and sell high may sound as a basic advice, but it's all you really need to do in order to succeed in any market. The only little problem is to know when it's cheap...
Also, I'd add to your list Cindicator and Storm. Very good tokens with solid project and competent teams. I really like them, especially Cindicator.

Big players are waiting for new small players to buy their bags and when there is enough small players big player will just dump bag, small player will panic sell and probably coin will never recover. Then newbie will go with bitcoin or ether because it is much safer than cheap altcoin.

The XRP ripple is the cheap representative!
Look at the market cap of ripple. Its one of the most expensive coins. Well if you are comparing among altcoins it is costliest, but if you believe that in coming years this coins will be like a btc market maker then this coin is the cheapest considering the future value of the money. So now it will depend upon the way you look at it.

So now it will depend upon the way you look at it. I think it does not make sense to invest in Ripple now because of the high market cap. Look at how many people have thousands, ten thousands, 100 thousands, millions of ripple. Probably half of wallstreet traders own ripple secretly. How do YOU plan to ever make any money in ripple? They will all cash out before you and make millions, billions. If you want a great return you need to invest in small projects that can become big. I make x50 in the last months on quite a few projects. Most people in crypto just dont seem to understand "buy cheap, sell high"...
