The latest application to be built using XRP is something called "Reservoir Lite."  It allows users to access and use the escrow functionality of the XRP Ledger for themselves!

If you've every wanted to lock away your XRP in a cryptographic vault for a specific period of time, this application is for you!

I used it myself a couple days ago, and I can tell you it's very intuitive.

Hope you enjoy the introduction to this unique application, and please leave any feedback below.

Thanks,
-Hodor

And what are the advantages of locking up the XRP?

I provided several examples in the blog.  I think the most common examples I've seen so far expressed are based on not wanting to overreact to the market swings and roller-coaster rides.

While XRP tends to be stable, it is not immune from volatility.  Putting an investment "away until some point in the future" is a good idea to a lot of people.

Of course, organizations like banks and FIs use crypto conditions in combination with contracts, which is really what its purpose is.

bitbay can do this and is a far better real trustless decentralised project

I would say bitbay is around 1000x better than xrp approx in investment terms from here

I've never heard of bitbay... Do they also have 200+ people working for them?
Do they have offices all over the world?
Did they just sign a contract with MoneyGram the remittance provider that you can find in every WalMart?

I stopped myself after these three; any reader with a minimum level of critical thinking can figure it out.
