Hi Have been lurking on the forums for about a month now, thought it was about time i signed up. Am currently mining Bitcoins with a couple of Lancelot FPGA boards and one Block Eruptor. I was GPU mining with a 7800, but gave up when the electricity bill arrived:) Have also been CPU mining for Quarkcoins and XPC, using two 4-core Xeons. Will be looking at implementing accepting Bitcoin as a payment method on my website soon (i build cartridges for an obscure 8-bit video games console). Cheers, Andy.

Heya . I'm a newbie on this forum as well. I mined back in the day (back in the day being march) and me and my trusty Nvidia Geforce 650ti got a very small pile of bitcoins. I enlisted my friends, and with their AMD cards we dominated the mining market--be jealous of their 6970's. At one point I estimate we had 40% of network hashrate [citation needed]. Actually though, we collected 0.48 bitcoins before we lost interest, and I put them all in AM100 when it was worth 0.255 (for a 1/100 PT) I'm looking into getting some asics, but I'm kind of poor (Grocery stores don't pay too well, whaddya know). Fun times all around! Good on you for keeping the network distributed, OP. Vires in numeris!

Looks like you guys are total noobs to this whole bitcoin mining thing. A block erupter is a line of mining products, specifically the BTC50 Block Erupter Blade that gets about 12 GH/s, and the Block Erupter USB, which also goes by the name sapphire, which is a model. Anyways the USBs get about 333 MH/s. If you want some, here's the best place to get them. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=271054.0EDIT: There's a price cut right now for the Blades, they're now BTC10.25

The new price for the USB block erupters brings the price down to something that might even pay itself back with difficulty increases. At ~.35 each for 330MH/s they way to start mining again. Although if you look at the price decrease since they were released it is hard to tell what their minimum price will be. Even though they might pay themselves off now, they could just as easily be a lot cheaper to buy in a couple of weeks. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=271054.msg2902929#msg2902929

Have just added a bitcoin payment button to my website using bitmerch. Will have to wait and see whether there's any interest from customers.

Hi all, I too am a newbie to the forum, but I have some time in mining. I started with two ATI HD 7950, but I had to withdraw as the companion. Now I'm starting with the ASIC world, the Block Erupter and eager to get a Blade. I am delighted to be here. Greetings.

I have been watching and mining for a month now and thought it was about time I made my first post, so here it is. Is there restrictions on PM for new people?
