有志(Racquemis1)の手により、Linux及びAndroidウォレット(Electrum)がリリースされました！
なお、現在騒がれているElectrumの脆弱性ですが。本Appは3.0.5ベースとなっており、既に脆弱性が塞がれたものです。

引用文に書かれている通り、Minexcoinの開発チームが作った物では無いので、質問等はチームでは無く開発者(Racquemis1)に聞いて下さい。

The electrum wallet for Linux & Android is now available to download. (Windows bins currently broken - Fixing)
This is an initial release, which could contain some bugs. If you run into any problems please open an issue on the github page.
Existing wallets can be imported in the client or you can create a new one using a seed phrase (always write it down)

The Android APK has been submitted to the Play Store and is awaiting approval

なんか、ホワイトペーパー30秒ぐらい眺めただけだけど、
これ運営の人がすごくインチキできるものになってる気がする。
なんで仮想通貨だけをいじることで、低ボラティリティで予測可能、
コントロール可能な成長が期待できるんだろう。
全通貨がムーンしても、このコインはムーンしないのかとか、
全通貨暴落しても、このコインは予測通り成長するのかとか、
いろいろ思ったけど、僕が根本的な仕組みをちゃんと理解できてないだけなのかな。

ご興味を持っていただいてありがとうございます。


まず、大前提としてMinexcoinのボラティリティを制御する為に使われているMinexBankというアルゴリズムは米ドルを基準としているという事。
また、MinexBankによる制御は大幅な変動が起きて初めて働くという事。パーキングレート(現在は日、週、月、年の4つ)は随時変更され(一日に何度も行われる日もあります)、Pumpすればするほどレートが下がり、Dumpするするほどレートが上がります。
レートによる制御はあくまで市場心理を動かすのが目的の機能となっています。ですので勿論一時的なMoonは行われる可能性があるという事です。
この事についてはWP9-11等をご参照頂ければと思います。

Minexcoin(MNX)がKoinbiという取引所に上場したとの情報がありましたが、この取引所はBCT内で詐欺取引所との報告があります。
また今回の上場についてはMinexcoinチームが申請などを行ったものではなく、取引所側が自主的(一方的)に行ったものです。

やはり低ボラティリティという言葉が投機家達には響かないんでしょうか…？

MinexBankアルゴリズムのテスト期間が終了しました！

現在テスト中のMinexBankアルゴリズムに対する幾つかのアップグレードがリリースされた後にMinexExchange(DEX)、Atomic Swapの実装が予定されています。

Atomic Swapについては既にテストネットで成功済で今月末にはMinexcoin/Bitcoin/Litecoin/Decred間でのAtomic Swapが提供される予定です。

今年最初の大型リリースとなるでしょう。
最初にローンチされたCoreウォレットは、機能や使いやすさの面でユーザーの要件を満たしてない事を我々は理解しています。

新たなバージョンでは以下の点が改善されるでしょう。

Minexcoin Atomic Swap
ステータス: 2018 年第1四半期にリリース予定

有志の手(Lolliedieb)によって新たなMNX用のマイナーである『lolMiner』がリリースされました。
OpenCLを使用したマイナーでWindowsとLinuxをサポートしています。

まだリリースされたばかり(ベータ)なのでWindows版での不意なクラッシュなどの不安定な部分もありますが、多くのGPUで既存のマイナーと比べ高いハッシュレートを叩き出します。

I just wanted to announce that I wrote a new mining software for MinexCoins Equihash 96/5 algorithm.
And what to say more then:

Today st first (beta) release day

It basically uses OpenCL and I build binaries for Linux and Windows, so it may run on a broad set of platforms and basically supports all graphic card vendors.
I can only report speeds for some very few testing machines I had access to, but it is looking promising (at least on a GTX 1080 non-ti).

Change log:

Changes to the "--enable-nv-hotfix" switch
The hotfix is now a bit less aggressive compared to v 0.11. It may be that the CPU load is slightly up compared to the previous version, but the new algorithm is doing better when recovering from a time with overall high CPU load. If the old version worked better at your side you can still download the old version v0.11 here (Win 64) and here (Lin 64) .

In general for the miner monitor the load during the first minutes of running. If you have an overall system load above 60% I would recoment running less instances of lolMiner and use the remaining graphic cards for mining with an other coin.

Fix of the "compile() error"
The miner now also runs on older AMD implementations with the official AMD drivers. The most ancient card I tried was a Radeon HD 7770 (GCN 1, released February 2012 (!) ) and it runs fine with about 600 sol/s when using Windows 10.

Fix of a "lucky user" bug.
There was one strange bug in the miner causing a segfault when too many solutions were found with one equihash run. Usually on average about 2 solutions are found, 4-5 can happen, but I had one report of 10 solutions in one run. v 0.11 was not prepared for this, but now it is ^^

Improvements to reconnect function.
Before there were multiple threads testing if the stratum connection is still valid and that may have issued a reconnect. This sometimes caused that thread #1 wanted to restart the reconnect attempt just started by thread #0. Now there is exactly one thread left that is able to issue a reconnect when an error is detected. Also after the first reconnection attempt the miner will now wait for 30 seconds to give the pool time to respond before the next reconnection attempt is taken.

Shipment with new libraries in Windows version
We had some reports about libstdc++ library crashes in Windows version. I updated all libraries in Windows version to newer versions. This does not guaranty that the stability issues are gone, but maybe the new versions help. At least I had no issues with the new versions in first testing.


New known issues:
Connection reseted by peer (Linux),  A connection was disconnected by the software on the host computer (Windows), Received job has wrong number of parameters! (both), All on minexpool.nl
I do not know yet why - either if this is a pool issue over the last two days or if this is an issue of the miner. At least the miner had some trouble connecting to the pool sometimes and receives irregular messages from this pool from time to time. The connection reseted by peer message often seems to affect the miner when no share was send in more than 90 seconds. Future will show if this is miner or pool bug and if there are efficient countermeasures to handle this. Currently I can observe that the miner is able to recover from the issue by reconnection, but of cause this lowers income when shares get lost and the miner is waiting for a reconnection attempt.  

Adding something like --retries and --retry-delay would be nice or even backup pool options.
If you just allowed the program to exit after failing to reconnect the specified amount of --retries consecutively, it would allow us to simply run a new instance trying another pool automatically.

I will definitely consider this as one possible feature for next release version. Good idea

Resolved the "wrong number of parameter" disconnect bug
Now lolMiner-mnx is more flexible regarding this and interprets other sizes correctly. Thanks to Raquemis for helping me finding this.

Fixed certain bugs with the stratum connector.
Some small fixes that will keep the connection more stable and prevent the miner from disconnecting / crashing.

A small adjustment to the "--enable-nv-hotfix"
It happened that the system clock was to precise to measure the timings for the switch. Now modified the routine that takes care of this. CPU load might be increased slightly, especially for cards with very few compute cores, but the impact of the switch to the hash-rate should be decreased.

[Windows only] lolMiner-mnx is now a static build for Windows
On some machines stability issues came from older libraries in the system conflicting with the ones shipped with lolMiner. This should not happen any more. I can not promise that this fixes all Windows issues but it gives me more control over the situation. Note that for Windows build also the structure in the ZIP has changes, since the whole ZIP now only contains two files.

Added simple watchdog scripts for the miner
Well these aren't really high level software, but for the random crashes this will do the job. On linux restart of crashed miner is almost guarantied with that, for Windows I am not sure about what happens when Windows thinks that miner is hanged up. Lets see. If there are more problems I will pay some of the batch experts here to do a proper watchdog for lolMiner
Please do not leave the miner unattended in the beginning. Due to the long list of modifications I did not test this very deeply...

Added multiple GPU support
Under the hood there were a lot of changes required but here it is: Just add --devices=a,b,c to run lolMiner on your devices a,b and c on the selected platform. As before use --list-devices to see which devices are there on your machine. For each device there will be sol/s displayed separately plus every 60 seconds the average over all cards over the minute. When one GPU does not send any sol/s for about two minutes the miner is closed so it can be cached up by the watchdog for a restart.

Added --set-work-batch switch
This switch will control the load that is send to the GPU at once. The value may be between 1 and 4. For Nvidia GTX 1XXX series I observed that 2 (default) is ideal, while AMD Mainstream graphic may work faster (5 %) having this set to 4. Most extreme example I have seen was some Nvidia Tesla card jumping almost 25% when this is set to 1. So you see: there is no ideal value for all cards out there and it is not much tested yet. But having a switch more is better then no option to choose

Fixed immediate reconnect bug
Some pools had trouble with lolMiner that after an unsuccessful connection attempt it directly tried to reconnect. Now it will wait some time before to give the pool a chance to recover from the problem.

Fixed boost async IO crash
Sometimes it happened that one thread closed the pool connection while an other tried to write on it causing the miner to crash. Now there should be a block taking this exception and print a warning. Afterwards the miner tries to reconnect. Should be more graceful than before.

Fixed invalid share bug
Due to some unclean cleanup of nonce informations the first ordinary mining attempt after  the shares of dev fee were computed was messed up. This did not happen every iteration, but will have cost about 1% profitability on pool side. Pools did not punish sending these faulty shares till now, but will do in future. Now this is fixed and should provide you slightly better income. Alert: Due to this bug which may be serious for some pools I would like to announce that the 0.1x versions are kind of deprecated now. If possible switch to newer version asap.

[Nvidia] Fixed high CPU load after long runtime bug
When lolMiner.mnx ran for a long time (yea indeed that happend) the CPU time it consumes increased. Now lolMiner resets the settings for the --enable-nv-hotfix switch internally. That should help reducing CPU load on a long term. For rigs with many cards it still may be high and it still may be better to run lolMiner-mnx on less cards then are available.

[Windows only:] Switched some of the compiled in libraries
The libraries included in 0.13 were identical (but invisible) to those of 0.11, while the ones in 0.12 were newer. Now in 0.2 the ones fit to those of 0.12 which were more stable for some users. Hope this helps stabilizing the miner in Windows.

私も現在テスト中ですがGTX1080でハッシュレートがかなり伸びています。本スレでもPascal世代のGPUで特に効くという報告がありました。
環境の違いかもしれませんが、自分の場合はv2.0でそこそこ安定しています(それでも稀にクラッシュする)

ですね。Optiminerは未だにLinux版のみでWindows版がリリースされてませんでしたから、、、Windows環境でのハッシュレートが改善には期待しています。

Introduced a complete new work thread model
The old solution caused massive problems with more then 2-4 Nvidia cards. Therefore I tried something new and what to say... I am happy with it. We tested it with one rig (I5) on 6-7 GPUs (GTX 1060) and what to say: It works This also means that the old --enable-nv-hotfix switch does no longer exist. The new solution will also increase the hash-rate on Nvidia hardware slightly (2-5%).

New parameters: --set-short-stats-interval <n> / --set-long-stats-interval <n>
The new parameters can be set to control the verbosity of lolMiner-mnx. It sets the time between the status lines printed to n seconds. If you set 0 or a negative number this disables the corresponding output lines. As for the --set-long-stats-interval this also controls the duration of the benchmark mode (that you can access when passing no user / server data to the miner)

Benchmark mode is now offline
Well I manged that no connection is required to test the capacities. Before it was mining to dev fee account, now this works even on machines without network connection.

Extending the parameter range for --set-work-batch
As before the default (2) is ideal for Nvidia GTX 10XX cards. The Nvidia professional cards (P100, V100 and Titan V) may profit from setting this to 1. For AMD cards: every even number will work well, but the higher the better. I measured that setting the parameter to 8 or even 12 (max) gave about 15% extra performance over the default. Setting a higher value also increases the memory use, so if the miner crashed on startup it may be better setting the value lower.
Even with this setting optiminer is still faster on AMD (to be changed in future ^^), but lolMiner-mnx consumes less energy (may be changed when GPU is better utilized). As far as I can estimate the two are now almost on par for sol/s per watt for RX 570 / 580 series. Try on your own which is more profitable in your concrete setup.

Some small changes in the stratum connection
Nothing to talk much about. I hope to improve stability with this. Note that the miner will now quit when it is not authorized from the server because the credentials are wrong.


Unfortunately there are two known issue:
Miner will crash on startup with Intel drivers
Well somehow the Intel drivers do not like the new work handling. Have to dig deeper why. For Intel 0.2 is the better version right now.

Miner will not quite when a GPU is detected with 0 sol/s
This feature had its problems in 0.2 and now with the new handling it does not work. But it will come back (with a switch to turn it on / off) in next versions.

Lets see what I have for you today:

Introduce the ability to use configuration files
Use "--use-config <fileName>" to load your configuration from file instead of from command line. This also makes maintaining multiple copies of lolMiner easier. See the example file to see how these files are written.

Use "--enable-time-print" to perpend the current local time to the statistics output
Well do not have more for that, do I? Ok: if you enable this HH:MM:SS in your local system time is printed before the stats.

Enable v0.13 thread model by "--use-alt-mine-thread"
This will enable the work handling of lolMiner-mnx 0.13 but with all the other bug fixes and improvements still enabled. This will deactivate multi-gpu support, so only the first device listed in --device will be used. By default the Nvidia CPU load fix (hotfix) is enabled, see below how to disable this. This option will brings back support for Intel devices.

New expert switch "--set-sleep-duration <number>"
This switch controls the new thread model introduced by 0.21.  It sets the time span between polling the GPUs for completed work in microseconds. Lower values may stabilize the performance, but also increase CPU load for all vendors. Setting the value to 0 will make lolMiner-mnx use one full CPU core by 100% for handling all devices. If this is used with "--use-alt-mine-thread" it will disable the Nvidia hotfix. Higher values reduce CPU load but may reduce hash rate. Default is 1000 microseconds = 1 millisecond.

[Windows] Hibernating is now prevented

Improved thread safety
I inserted some mutex so most critical parts that are shared can now be accessed only by one thread. This should improve stability and reduce double free errors that make the miner crash.

iOS版 MinexBankを早速試してみました。
細かい部分は違いますが、概ねAndroid版MinexBankと似た感じのデザインで使いやすいです。動作面も今のところ問題ないようです。

公開されたlolminer(ver. 0.22)ですが、DevFee用回収用のフォールバックルーチンにバグが見つかったようです。
プールをダウンさせる可能性がありますので、マイナーの方は修正版をダウンロードして頂ければと思います。

なお、現在騒がれているElectrumの脆弱性ですが。本Appは3.0.5ベースとなっており、既に脆弱性が塞がれたものです。

引用文に書かれている通り、Minexcoinの開発チームが作った物では無いので、質問等はチームでは無く開発者(Racquemis1)に聞いて下さい。

有志の手(Lolliedieb)によって新たなMNX用のマイナーである『lolMiner』がリリースされました。
OpenCLを使用したマイナーでWindowsとLinuxをサポートしています。

まだリリースされたばかり(ベータ)なのでWindows版での不意なクラッシュなどの不安定な部分もありますが、多くのGPUで既存のマイナーと比べ高いハッシュレートを叩き出します。

Today st first (beta) release day

It basically uses OpenCL and I build binaries for Linux and Windows, so it may run on a broad set of platforms and basically supports all graphic card vendors.
I can only report speeds for some very few testing machines I had access to, but it is looking promising (at least on a GTX 1080 non-ti).

Changes to the "--enable-nv-hotfix" switch
The hotfix is now a bit less aggressive compared to v 0.11. It may be that the CPU load is slightly up compared to the previous version, but the new algorithm is doing better when recovering from a time with overall high CPU load. If the old version worked better at your side you can still download the old version v0.11 here (Win 64) and here (Lin 64) .

In general for the miner monitor the load during the first minutes of running. If you have an overall system load above 60% I would recoment running less instances of lolMiner and use the remaining graphic cards for mining with an other coin.

Fix of the "compile() error"
The miner now also runs on older AMD implementations with the official AMD drivers. The most ancient card I tried was a Radeon HD 7770 (GCN 1, released February 2012 (!) ) and it runs fine with about 600 sol/s when using Windows 10.

Fix of a "lucky user" bug.
There was one strange bug in the miner causing a segfault when too many solutions were found with one equihash run. Usually on average about 2 solutions are found, 4-5 can happen, but I had one report of 10 solutions in one run. v 0.11 was not prepared for this, but now it is ^^

Improvements to reconnect function.
Before there were multiple threads testing if the stratum connection is still valid and that may have issued a reconnect. This sometimes caused that thread #1 wanted to restart the reconnect attempt just started by thread #0. Now there is exactly one thread left that is able to issue a reconnect when an error is detected. Also after the first reconnection attempt the miner will now wait for 30 seconds to give the pool time to respond before the next reconnection attempt is taken.

Shipment with new libraries in Windows version
We had some reports about libstdc++ library crashes in Windows version. I updated all libraries in Windows version to newer versions. This does not guaranty that the stability issues are gone, but maybe the new versions help. At least I had no issues with the new versions in first testing.


New known issues:
Connection reseted by peer (Linux),  A connection was disconnected by the software on the host computer (Windows), Received job has wrong number of parameters! (both), All on minexpool.nl
I do not know yet why - either if this is a pool issue over the last two days or if this is an issue of the miner. At least the miner had some trouble connecting to the pool sometimes and receives irregular messages from this pool from time to time. The connection reseted by peer message often seems to affect the miner when no share was send in more than 90 seconds. Future will show if this is miner or pool bug and if there are efficient countermeasures to handle this. Currently I can observe that the miner is able to recover from the issue by reconnection, but of cause this lowers income when shares get lost and the miner is waiting for a reconnection attempt.  

Adding something like --retries and --retry-delay would be nice or even backup pool options.
If you just allowed the program to exit after failing to reconnect the specified amount of --retries consecutively, it would allow us to simply run a new instance trying another pool automatically.

I will definitely consider this as one possible feature for next release version. Good idea

Now lolMiner-mnx is more flexible regarding this and interprets other sizes correctly. Thanks to Raquemis for helping me finding this.

Fixed certain bugs with the stratum connector.
Some small fixes that will keep the connection more stable and prevent the miner from disconnecting / crashing.

A small adjustment to the "--enable-nv-hotfix"
It happened that the system clock was to precise to measure the timings for the switch. Now modified the routine that takes care of this. CPU load might be increased slightly, especially for cards with very few compute cores, but the impact of the switch to the hash-rate should be decreased.

[Windows only] lolMiner-mnx is now a static build for Windows
On some machines stability issues came from older libraries in the system conflicting with the ones shipped with lolMiner. This should not happen any more. I can not promise that this fixes all Windows issues but it gives me more control over the situation. Note that for Windows build also the structure in the ZIP has changes, since the whole ZIP now only contains two files.

Added simple watchdog scripts for the miner
Well these aren't really high level software, but for the random crashes this will do the job. On linux restart of crashed miner is almost guarantied with that, for Windows I am not sure about what happens when Windows thinks that miner is hanged up. Lets see. If there are more problems I will pay some of the batch experts here to do a proper watchdog for lolMiner
Please do not leave the miner unattended in the beginning. Due to the long list of modifications I did not test this very deeply...

Added multiple GPU support
Under the hood there were a lot of changes required but here it is: Just add --devices=a,b,c to run lolMiner on your devices a,b and c on the selected platform. As before use --list-devices to see which devices are there on your machine. For each device there will be sol/s displayed separately plus every 60 seconds the average over all cards over the minute. When one GPU does not send any sol/s for about two minutes the miner is closed so it can be cached up by the watchdog for a restart.

Added --set-work-batch switch
This switch will control the load that is send to the GPU at once. The value may be between 1 and 4. For Nvidia GTX 1XXX series I observed that 2 (default) is ideal, while AMD Mainstream graphic may work faster (5 %) having this set to 4. Most extreme example I have seen was some Nvidia Tesla card jumping almost 25% when this is set to 1. So you see: there is no ideal value for all cards out there and it is not much tested yet. But having a switch more is better then no option to choose

Fixed immediate reconnect bug
Some pools had trouble with lolMiner that after an unsuccessful connection attempt it directly tried to reconnect. Now it will wait some time before to give the pool a chance to recover from the problem.

Fixed boost async IO crash
Sometimes it happened that one thread closed the pool connection while an other tried to write on it causing the miner to crash. Now there should be a block taking this exception and print a warning. Afterwards the miner tries to reconnect. Should be more graceful than before.

Fixed invalid share bug
Due to some unclean cleanup of nonce informations the first ordinary mining attempt after  the shares of dev fee were computed was messed up. This did not happen every iteration, but will have cost about 1% profitability on pool side. Pools did not punish sending these faulty shares till now, but will do in future. Now this is fixed and should provide you slightly better income. Alert: Due to this bug which may be serious for some pools I would like to announce that the 0.1x versions are kind of deprecated now. If possible switch to newer version asap.

[Nvidia] Fixed high CPU load after long runtime bug
When lolMiner.mnx ran for a long time (yea indeed that happend) the CPU time it consumes increased. Now lolMiner resets the settings for the --enable-nv-hotfix switch internally. That should help reducing CPU load on a long term. For rigs with many cards it still may be high and it still may be better to run lolMiner-mnx on less cards then are available.

[Windows only:] Switched some of the compiled in libraries
The libraries included in 0.13 were identical (but invisible) to those of 0.11, while the ones in 0.12 were newer. Now in 0.2 the ones fit to those of 0.12 which were more stable for some users. Hope this helps stabilizing the miner in Windows.

Introduced a complete new work thread model
The old solution caused massive problems with more then 2-4 Nvidia cards. Therefore I tried something new and what to say... I am happy with it. We tested it with one rig (I5) on 6-7 GPUs (GTX 1060) and what to say: It works This also means that the old --enable-nv-hotfix switch does no longer exist. The new solution will also increase the hash-rate on Nvidia hardware slightly (2-5%).

New parameters: --set-short-stats-interval <n> / --set-long-stats-interval <n>
The new parameters can be set to control the verbosity of lolMiner-mnx. It sets the time between the status lines printed to n seconds. If you set 0 or a negative number this disables the corresponding output lines. As for the --set-long-stats-interval this also controls the duration of the benchmark mode (that you can access when passing no user / server data to the miner)

Benchmark mode is now offline
Well I manged that no connection is required to test the capacities. Before it was mining to dev fee account, now this works even on machines without network connection.

Extending the parameter range for --set-work-batch
As before the default (2) is ideal for Nvidia GTX 10XX cards. The Nvidia professional cards (P100, V100 and Titan V) may profit from setting this to 1. For AMD cards: every even number will work well, but the higher the better. I measured that setting the parameter to 8 or even 12 (max) gave about 15% extra performance over the default. Setting a higher value also increases the memory use, so if the miner crashed on startup it may be better setting the value lower.
Even with this setting optiminer is still faster on AMD (to be changed in future ^^), but lolMiner-mnx consumes less energy (may be changed when GPU is better utilized). As far as I can estimate the two are now almost on par for sol/s per watt for RX 570 / 580 series. Try on your own which is more profitable in your concrete setup.

Some small changes in the stratum connection
Nothing to talk much about. I hope to improve stability with this. Note that the miner will now quit when it is not authorized from the server because the credentials are wrong.


Unfortunately there are two known issue:
Miner will crash on startup with Intel drivers
Well somehow the Intel drivers do not like the new work handling. Have to dig deeper why. For Intel 0.2 is the better version right now.

Miner will not quite when a GPU is detected with 0 sol/s
This feature had its problems in 0.2 and now with the new handling it does not work. But it will come back (with a switch to turn it on / off) in next versions.

It will take a bit to describe what is new, so lets start.

Introduced a complete new Stratum Interface

As you may know the stratum interface of 0.22 was very buggy and caused serious problems on connection losses as well to the user as to the dev fee pool. Therefore 0.3 now has a complete new Stratum interface that should handle the situation much more gracefully and stable.

That said the new interface also comes with a new feature: fail-over support. You now can pass comma separated lists  to --server, --port, --user and --pass. The miner will try to connect to the first server in the list with the first credentials. Once there are too many reconnection attempts for this first connection the miner will go to the next pool in list with the 2nd user name and so on.
With --max-connection-attempts <number> you can define how many connection attempts to be used before the miner switches over to the next pool & credentials in list. The default is 5.

This new stuff also applies for the dev fee connection. To bring this down the current three biggest pools have to be down simultaneously. Moreover the dev fee connection will try to use the same pool as the user for the fee, so the miner does no longer damage the balance of the pools by sending all shares to one pool. If this is not possible, it will do a round robin through all pools in the integrated list.

Even if the fee is completely blocked the miner will now continue to work, but slower then usual, because it will pause in between for reconnection attempts. The performance loss is approximately 5-10% depending on card and settings, but it will continue to work.

Improvement of the OpenCL code

As for the OpenCL code I did some performance improvements, that help hiding the memory latency (by almost 40%). This results the following performance table. I only listed the devices available for testing.

All of the above numbers were generated with the Linux version of the miner with current amdgpu-pro or cuda drivers.

Note that the performance of AMD cards may be limited in Windows, see the commends to –set-work-batch below.

Beside this I added some new comfort features & changes:

--platform and –device
The platform parameter now understand the keyword AUTO, which is also default. This one will select the platform with the most graphic cards automatically. If there are two with the same number, e.g. and Intel integrated GPU and one AMD / Nvidia graphic card it will prefer the non-Intel platform.

Device now detects two special values ALL and ALLGPU (default), that will select all devices or all graphic cards in the selected platform. Note then when using --device ALL on a processor with integrated graphics the miner will mine as well on the integrated graphics and on the CPU part. For most configurations this is not recommended.

--set-work-batch
There are now three special values 2G, AUTO and HIGH. When the work batch is set to 2G the miner is allowed to use 2 gigabytes of graphic memory at most. At level AUTO it will use at most 60% of the graphic cards memory and at level HIGH 90%. Note that AUTO and HIGH operate on per-GPU level, so mixing graphic cards with different memory sizes is no problem.

For Windows and AMD graphic cards there currently is a problem with lolMiner-mnx and the driver preventing that the miner works with more then 2 gigabytes of memory. Therefore the default for the Windows version is 2G, while the default for the Linux version is AUTO. This causes lolMiner-mnx 0.3 to be slightly faster on Linux compared to Windows when using AMD graphic cards.

The restriction does not apply for Nvidia graphic cards. For this GPU it should be save to use AUTO on any operation system.

New parameter: --use-compact-short-stat

This parameter will make lolMiner-mnx to print the short statistics in a similar style as the long statistics but without the surrounding dashed lines. Therefore one single line will be used for all devices instead of one line per device.

New parameter:  --exit-on-zero

This parameter will cause lolMiner-mnx to check the speed of each device when printing out the long statistics. If an device is detected with 0 sol/s (thus it was idle on the long statistics intervall) the miner will quit, so it can be restarted from a watchdog script.

With all those changes I still may announce that working configuration files from 0.22 can be used with 0.3 and should work as before. But to use the new features you may like to modify it  

Beside the new comfort work I also tried to hunt down the memory access crashed and the reasons for reported 0 sol/s. This said it is natural that I may have overseen a problem, but it should be better now. If not please report.

That said there are two more smaller changes:
1. The dev fee is now reduced to 1.5%  
2. There is a new readme in .pdf file format shipped with the miner. This is now much closer to a real manual and should help to configure the miner

But why to download that without need? Well, this is new:

Fixed a bug in the Stratum Interface causing segfaults when receiving new jobs
This did not occur very often and most likely when the miner connected, but well - it happens from time to time and after some searching I found out why. But it seems I will have to do a new json interface for 0.4 - what fixes the segfault is rather a dirty fix and it only covers approx 80% of the possible reasons. Will try to come back with something better.

Introduced a new parameter "--optim"
This takes the two values OFF and STD (default). Setting the parameter to OFF will turn back some optimizations done for 0.3 that cause some lower end or older GPUs to run slower. So this kind of brings back the optimization level of 0.22 if you liked that more. Mid and high end cards will mine faster with this parameter not set (or the default STD), but also consume more energy. So the value OFF is also an option for those running into thermal problems.

If will extent the parameter in future for vendor specific optimizations. Lets see.

Introduced a new parameter "--use-compact-accept-msg"
This will replace the "Submitting Share / Share Accepted" message pair by * symbols attached to the 5 seconds statistics. This automatically activates --use-compact-short-stat, so we now have the following options for lolMiner-mnx to look like:

The last days new version 0.3 works minutes 20-40 and speed falls on 0 sol and so indefinitely there is 0 sol 0sol......
How to fight against it also what to do?

Did you try the new --exit-on-zero parameter of 0.3? That should close the miner after at most two minutes after the first 0 sols was detected and the scripts provided with the miner (.bat file in Windows, .sh in Linux) should be able to restart it. Does this work for you? If you want a quicker restart you can set the long stats interval shorter.

Well ... there is an extra forum here where you can announce and discuss new pools - maybe setting then a link in the Minex general pool is a good idea.
But here this is getting a bit to much if I get one pool advertising per page - this is for discussing and giving support for lolMiner.

I have to announce that I just released version 0.33.

The reason is that I investigated the bug that some users claim the miner disconnecting from pool. I do not have a full log here but just by inspecting the code I found a problem that may have caused this and where the miner defiantly did not handle things like it should be. Well - I do not know if this causes the problem, but I fixed at least one issue now that I did not want to keep in code until 0.4 is done  

Link is - as usual - on the thread front page. Also I now computed the checksums of the lolMiner binaries so you can compare if files you get are integer.

Atomic Swap(Testnet)のGUIアプリケーションがリリース！
GUIによるユーザーフレンドリーな環境はコンピュータに詳しくない人でも簡単に使用する事が可能になります。

ただし、このバージョンはアルファ版であり、Testnetで動作する物です(Testnetとは通常のBitcoin/Minexcoinチェーンとは別のチェーンで文字通り新機能のテスト等の為に使われます)
confファイルを書き換えてBitcoin及びMinexcoinをMainnetからTestnetに切り替え無ければいけませんので、自信の無い方はお控え下さい。

DEX実装の第一歩と言った所でしょうか。Minexcoinの今後がますます楽しみになりますね。

lolMinerのアップデート(ver. 0.34)
大きな変更点としてはWindows向けにWatchdogsスクリプトの追加。マイナーの停止や0sol/s問題などが起きている時に再起動してくれます。

なおこのバージョンはver. 0.3xとしては暫定最終版という位置付けで、ver. 0.4xの中継ぎバージョンとなります。

Similar as in the past I did not plan to do this version, but the changes I planned for 0.4 were too fundamental and so well – I wanted to have this intermediate version with its fixes done before.

So, what is new:

Windows only: A new watchdog.
This version of lolMiner comes with a watchdog script written in power shell. Basically it detects when the miner is stuck / has 0 sol/s and so on and can restart it if required. You can start it by clicking run_miner.cmd while the old run script is also on board.

To configure the new watchdog you have to edit the watchdog-lolminer-v0.34.ps1 file. Especially you should give the name of your config file in the beginning.

The watchdog is able to reboot the rig after a certain number of miner restarts. To enable this feature you have to set $global:allowReboot=$true in the header of the watchdog on line 18. For the reboot feature to be effective you should place the watchdog in your auto-start.

Also you can allow it do do a screen shot on every crash by setting  $global:allowScreenshot=$true on line 19. The parameter in line 18 controls the number of restarts before the watchdog closes itself or reboots the rig.

In order to handle 0 sol/s cases the watchdog will require admin rights on your computer when it starts. This allows the watchdog to reset your GPU drivers before a new restart attempt. Because of this we made the watchdog open source so you can verify it does no harm to your system.

Fixed a bug in stratum code:
Before the miner got stuck when the first pool in list was not avaiable. This is fixed now. Also the miner no longer closes when the first pool reports an authorization of miner problem, but it now tests all failover pools in a row before exiting due to missing authorization

Changed behavior of –exit-on-zero
Well … did not find a better headline for this. The parameter –exit-on-zero does not exist any more / has no effect. Instead when the miner detects that a GPU did not come back from a mining task properly it will print an error message and close. The same is true when a device does not finish a task for more then 30 seconds.

New internal stratum behavior
The stratum code now monitors for shares not tested (if they are below target) or not submitted. When there was no single share tested for a minute or no share submitted for 10 minutes, the miner will stop working and close itself, so the restart scripts or the Windows watchdog can restart it.

New parameter: --continue-on-error
This is the counterpart to the above two described changes. If this parameter is set the miner will continue working even when an error occurred.
New parameter: --stats-digits <number>
This will set the number of digits printed in statistics messages. E.g. if you set it to 0 the decimal delimiter and everything behind will be cut of. The default is 1.

Slight changes in work management
The change is something I wanted to test for 0.4. Basically it now tries to do the transfer from and to the cards asynchronously. Especially on AMD cards this helps reducing the difference in speed between –work-batch HIGH and AUTO and lower values. Higher is still mining faster but the difference to lower values is now smaller

New parameter: --disable-double-buffer
This is the counterpart to the work management change. For some drivers (the open source Clover OpenCL drivers on Linux) this is required because not all drivers support the change.  

New parameter: --disable-suprnova-for-fee
This parameter is meant to remove the suprnova pool from the list of fall-backs for the miners dev fee. Reason is that this pool is blocked in some countries and that the miner may get stuck on an ISP block of this pool.

lolMiner-mnx now got a license.txt file
Well that was required xD

lolMiner-mnx now displays proper AMD device names
Well its not yet perfect, but I think “Radeon RX 470/480; RX 570/580” is better then “Ellesmere” - but I may be wrong ^^


I hope you have fun with this release. I will now prepare the next steps. As said the planned changes to 0.4 are rather massive, therefore it may take some time.

また、Android Wear(現Wear OS by Google)アプリのリリースも行われました。
なお、リリース予告されていたMinexWallet 2.0については、技術的な問題とバグ修正によりリリースが遅れている模様です。

MNX向けのlolMinerは長らく更新が止まっていましたが、アップデートされた模様です。
Minexcoinの他にBTG,BTCZ等のマイニングもサポートするlolMiner-144.5が統合されているようです。

パフォーマンスの改善や設定ファイル等に変更が行われています。

Hi folks,
this is the announcement thread for lolMiner v0.4 (July 22, 2018) .

So what is this miner good for: at the moment it mines Equihash 144.5 (BTG, BTCZ, LitecoinZ, Safecoin, Snowgem, ZEL) and Equihash 96.5 (Minexcoin) OpenCL based, so for Nvidia and AMD.

The miner is kind of a successor to my Minexcoin (MNX) miner you can find here as well as the 0.38 preview miner for Equihash 144.5.

Here are the changes over the last versions:

Changes (generally):

- Introduced a simple api (see manual)
- The miner now supports running on mixed rigs (see quickstart guide)
- The miner supports multiple algorithms in one software

Changes (from lolMiner-mnx 0.34)

- Improved performance: About 24% for AMD and 21% for Nvidia
- New configuration file format
- New work-batch options (see manual)

Changes (from lolMiner-144.5 0.38 Preview)
- Integrated ZelCash (ZEL)
- Improved driver and GPU compatibility – now it should work with any OpenCL 1.1 enabled GPU that has enough memory.
- Slightly improved performance: Approx 2-3% on Nvidia and 10-11% on AMD

F.A.Q. and known Issues:

The AMD miner for 144.5 is slow…
Well, I know that. The code needs a massive re-structure to make it fly - I will try so soon

The Windows miner crashes…
… from time to time. This is because the Windows version is a cross build with pretty old runtimes. This will be resolved soon (hopefully). In the meantime head out for a Windows watchdog I will provide next days that mitigates the problem.

My coin with Equihash 144.5 is missing...
Oh, sry, maybe I just was not aware of this. Drop me a note here with the required details and I will add is very quickly. This is a rather quick action

How much is the fee?
Equihash 144.5 coins start at a 2% fee (to be lowered with 0.41 or 0.42) and MinexCoin runs at 1% fee.

Does the miner disconnect for fee?
No, I has two connections open all of the time and does every x iterations one iteration for me. That way the mining income remains smooth. Also the displayed sol/s are net with fee already calculated out, so what you see is what you get.

Why JSON for configuration? Why? Whyyyyy?
Huuusshhh. Just be careful with setting ',' and all will be good. When used to it, it is a very need way to configure the miner, you will see.

I just updated the miner to version 0.41

And here are the changes (hope I get all):

Windows Version:
- Switched from a mingW64 to a visual studio based build. This should remove the majority of the Windows bugs / random crashed

Coins:
- Added support for HeptaCoin (HEPTA)

Api:
- Added some new fields (total sol/s and pool information where the RIG is connected)
- Fixed the Windows API stability bug

Features:
- The miner now supports automatic user names. The parameter "RIGNAME" (in config file) or -rigname= (in command line) set a name for the Rig. When now for any pool connection data at the "USER" field no "." is found the RIGNAME will be appended to the user name automatically. Instead when a "." is found, RIGNAME will be ignored.

- Extended the "DEVICES" parameter and also enables control of devices in command line. Now the miner is fully functional to be controled over cmd. Especially the user now can select "DEVICES":"AMD" or "DEVICES" : "NVIDIA" to restrict to GPUs for one vendor (see manual for more details).

- Added the options "TIMEPRINT" and "SHORTACCEPT" to modify the console output. (See manual in section "Modify the Statistics Output")

- Added the options "CONNECTION_ATTEMPTS" and "RECONNECTION_TIMER" to modify the behavior of the failover support (See manual in section "Adjusting the Failover Pool Function")

- lolMiner can now change the kernel file search directory ("KERNELSDIR") and for the user_config.json (-usercfg= in command line). The paths can be absolute or relative to the current work directory. This allows to install the executable in some system search path and the other required stuff in a complete different location.


Known issues:
- Windows defender sometimes recognizes lolMiner.exe as virus. This is a false positive and Windows defender is the only search engine that I am aware of that does so (only one out of 67 virus search engines tested)

- Windows version may crash when hitting

• - better stop the miner by task manager or ctrl + c.

- The current mining code for Nvidia & MNX seems only to work well (fast) on GTX1080 cards. Unfortunately the older one does not work directly in miner framework. I will now be on vacation for a week but will try to fix this ASAP.

- The API can not be displayed in Chrome. No idea why, but Firefox and Internet Explorer did well, on Windows, Linux and Android mobile.

Regarding MinexPay cards
AML/CFT sections will be added to the website today
The first lot of cards will be sent out in September.
After you receive a card, there’s a possibility of 1-2 weeks long lag before you will be able to use them. We are working so that it won’t happen, but there’s a slight chance it still might.
The card price is fixed. If the price of MNX grows to the point where the card price becomes not competitive, we are going to reconsider it.
The card issuer will be announced next week
Their are no additional fees for currency conversion. (Foreign exchange fee 0%)
Card deliveries are free and will be done worldwide, with only exceptions being Crimea Region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria.

We’re still negotiating with HitBTC. If we don’t reach consensus, we will consider delisting and listing on another exchange from top-10
There are currently 80+ people working on the project, 48 of them are coders.
We are not working on any listings right now, save for HitBTC one.
The information about the upcoming Instabuy buybacks will not be announced. We will make announcements about buybacks only post-factum. With proofs.
