The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

there is a possibility,  if bitcoin blockchain traffic and delays continues.. anyways the energy consumption of etherium is way too less in comparison to Bitcoin.bitcoin takes more time to transmit the coins while Etherium is very fast.

if you compare the ethereum network fees with bitcoin network fees you will understand everything.
From last 1 month gas minimum price increased by 10x times now minimum spend is 32 Giwe which is around 10$ per Transfer.
its still cheap as compare to bitcoin network

Security of ether network is poor many people complaining that their money gone from wallet.

plus points
Ether is ERC20 based wallet most of altcoins depends on this exchange
people will buy more ether in future rather than Bitcoin because ether supports new tokens

people move because of the high bitcoin fee is different from etherium and most people move to altcoin which is affordable when we buy and very profitable if we sell and etherium provides a place for the other coins.

I think Ethereum has more potential for growth at the moment but BTC will always be king. Its a store of value.

It won't check the Market Cap and there are other altcoins with possible potential, So ETH beating BTC is not possible!

For the best of my knowledge there is possibility that ethereum can beat bitcoin, Reason for saying this is that over 90% of crypto investors are looking for profitability, stability, less transaction charges, fast confirmation etc. If blockchain can not resolve the traffic on their network, I tell you it will reduce investor and they will definitely start looking for another coin to invest. Which ethereum have future.

I believe that the year 2018 is ethereal property compared to other alt coins, but if talking can beat bitcoin I do not think this will happen.
Whatever will happen someday, maybe bitcoin away from ethereal in terms of price or maybe ethereal can be very close to bitcoin.
Well for the current transaction costs naturally people exchange their bitcoin with ethereal because ethereal transaction costs are cheaper in comparison with btc so expensive.

Ethereum can get the overhand due to the fact that they have token support.(eventho this won't happen any soon, it is still possible )

Tokens are gonna be used by alot of new startups, this will probably boost the eth market alot.

It seems impossible to me, because countries recognize bitcoin, but not all countries recognize ETH, so BTC has more communities.

This could be possible, though it may take years. But one thing that is sure is that ethereum has proved to be the most stable cryptocurrency among all. However it does not remove anything from the credibility and capacity of bitcoin.

After the flash crash Ethereum has ratcheted up the $500 level after pausing in the $280 area for some time. Ethereum is not exhibiting the mania of Bitcoin. It will follow Bitcoin higher and probably track Bitcoin loosely on the way up. Many investors will invest in the cheaper coin as a value play. The price is currently under $400 and it appears that the coin has been ping ponging back and forth in rotations as the big boys are ramping up their investment.

I think yes , it can easily beat , but it should take some time. More crypto will be built on base of etherium , more influence it will have in the future

I don't think so, or maybe. Especially on how the Ethereum Network reacts now? Too much pending transaction, rising fees, etc.. If Ethereum Platform is upgradable (I don't know if its not or what!), then, like what I have said, maybe.

I think not. Bitcoin will also be on the top. The only thing that ethereum can reach is it price but can't break bitcoin.

Real cryptocurrency will be determined by its value as a functioning currency and that is what will drive adaptation. Ethereum is developed as a platform which facilitates peer-to-peer contracts and applications via its own currency vehicle. Looking at the future aspects ETH is good to invest in. It's programing language & algorithm and easy transaction makes it versatile. The primary purpose of Ether is not to establish itself as a payment alternative (unlike Bitcoin) but to facilitate and monetize the working of Ethereum to enable developers to build and run distributed applications (ĐApps).
