Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

In some parts of the world that America has clung onto after it finally collapses I can guarantee you that countries will look the same as Northern Ireland and Ireland do now, ethnic groups split into two because of an invading empire trying to enforce its will on everybody, I don't believe that America is trying to be the World Police, I think they are actively trying to conquer the world.

The sun never sets in England America Tongue

Might as well tell the government to control every aspect of your life.

Really give this guys some spare BTC he deserves some help for what he did !

I thought he was doing it for the greater good, not money?

Besides, what's he going to spend the bitcoins on?

If my life was in the hand of Putin I would start taking anonymous donation too lol

That was his (stupid) choice. Why he thought that Russia is more free than the US is anyone's guess.

No country is really "free". But "free" countries like Germany or UK would probably have deported him to US. It's the wisest to go to the countries like China or Russia which like pissing off US and can stand against political pressure, but only as long as you don't piss of those countries. Then you will realize that US with Guantanamo, torture and spying programs isn't so bad after all.

BTC to the moon!

After listening to (most of) episode 87 of the Peace Revolution Podcast, I had to find a way to send Ed some BTC.  Thanks Wikileaks and everyone else supporting that kid.

The NSA still claims that they don't know what all he took.  If that's true, then he kind of holds all the marbles.  It's nice to see someone in that position who isn't actively trying to make people stupid, encouraging them to engage in destructive behaviors, and perverting the potential of the human species by turning it into a master-slave species.  If you check out the podcast, you'll understand what I'm talking about. All the way back to episode 1, PeaceRevolution is awesome!

I'm a big supporter of what Snowden has accomplished and is still accomplishing.  However, I wonder how we can know that Snowden really controls this address (I may have missed it somewhere in the thread, if that's the case, please forgive me).

All he needs to do is to hold up a card with his address(es) in one of the next video broadcasts.

That's positive confirmation.

Indeed, that would convince me for sure.

I wanted proof positive too, but a page on Wikileaks and a reference to this address in a "fundrazr.com" campaign were enough for me.  It would be pretty nice to see a video of Snowden reading this address (or whatever address he could control) while holding up the QR code so anyone could easily verify it.  I had enough infto to send $20 to whoever controls the address.
