Will BTC be replaced from ETH in future? Because as of current crypto market, demand for the ETH is higher than BTC due to various kind of ICO projects.
For now bitcoin is still a major coin, but no one knows the future. The possibility of ethereum will be able to replace bitcoin in the future. |

Anyway in future Bitcoin can improve his features. Lightning transactions, crosschains, smart contracts... It depends on developers, who will work harder

I don't think anyone of them needs to replace the other to be successful. They can coexist well.
But they both really need some technological advances to keep strong. The first time you get trapped in some freaking pending transaction because of ETH network congestion, or you try to send a small payment using bitcoin, you'll know what I'm talking about...
Technologically waves is superior to both of them.

It might will be happen if bitcoin crash. Ethereum is really awesome coin so far and have a more function than bitcoin. More and more icos are using ethereum smart contract and some are very successful. So it might a game changing for ether someday.

No, I do not think so. From my point of view, BTC will always be on top of Crypto market as compared to ETH or any other Alt coins.

I think that Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different cryptocurrency but they both became a basis for other cryptocurrency because of their large values. Their values are something to be updated about because if their prices goes down, the prices of the tokens or coins that depends on them also goes down.

ETH won't replace BTC since the two have different application. I think you're talking about the price and perhaps misconstruct the question. With price alone, I think there's a possibility that eth would surpass bitcoin. |

I do think ETH will eventually be higher than Bitcoin, but it will take some time.
I prefer to use Bitcoin, all the other altcoins will be only ranked second whenever Bitcoin is mentioned between them. |

We should not pit bitcoin and eth because we both need these coins in the crypto world. Even if Ethereum surpasses bitcoin in the future all of us can still benefit from it. I would choose both of them. We need more cryptocurrencies not just bitcoin or eth. As a bounty hunter and investor we need to diversify our coins.

Firstly, you really need to understand that these are totally two different projects and there is a lot that makes them what it is. Sure, Ethereum is a good project, worth holding and have a lot of prospects, but replacing bitcoin, I would not ever see that coming. Bitcoin developers I believe are not slacking and bitcoin will always still have that first movers edge and the fact that it is deflationary compared to ETH, that makes it even better. |

It will not be replaced but I do think both will have their own job to be used as a good crypro.
There will be more out there that will be as the same as Ethereum that will be valued more.
QTUM is already on its way LTC also have done so much.
It aint bad foe people to have options on what they prefer to use.

Bitcoin has the best and riches investors and share holders, bitcoin is the most popular and known in the cryptocurrency world. Btc has the highest and top grossing value in the chart and history of cryptocurrency, Also Billgates says that btc is ubstoppable, so in that case no one can ever replace btc and Eth is just the second to btc.

technically i dont think that ethereum will replace bitcoin in future, the demand of ethereum is higher than bitcoin because it is very cheaper than bitcoin and constantly increasing.

total supply of bitcoin is 21 M and ETH is 96 M.

These two coins are the main actors of crypto world. Both of them are getting so much attention by our community. I see both ethereum and bitcoin being much more valuable in the future but i think they still be in the same order. Bitcoin leading and eth following it.

Yes, there is a possibility that it might replace bitcoins. As of now, investing in Ethereum can be more profitable than bitcoins as bitcoin's value is not stable and has dropped alot in the past few days. Of course btc's drop affected each and every altcoin but ethereum has started to rise again. Also there are many advantages that Eth has over bitcoin and one of the biggest reasons would be the transaction fee which is very less and transaction gets confirmed pretty fast. Bitcoin is the biggest coin currently but there is a chance that Eth would replace it.
