This is most likely, FALSE.

Telegram would never launch an ICO. The purpose of ICOs is to collect money but telegram is freely funded by rich people whose goal is to make quality messaging 100% free.

This is directly taken from the TELEGRAM FAQ:

Quote
Q: How are you going to make money out of this?

We believe in fast and secure messaging that is also 100% free.
Commercial companies frequently face the need to compromise their values for financial gain. This is why we made Telegram a non-commercial project. Telegram is not intended to bring revenue, it will never sell ads or accept outside investment. It also cannot be sold. We're not building a “user base”, we are building a messenger for the people.
Pavel Durov, who shares our vision, supplied Telegram with a generous donation through his Digital Fortress fund, so we have quite enough money for the time being. If Telegram runs out, we'll invite our users to donate or add non-essential paid options.

even if it is true, they are planning to collect too much money. When entering the stock exchanges, prices will collapse, as many will want to merge coins. Therefore, I see no reason to enter the ICO, it will then be cheaper to buy on the stock exchange

I agree with that. It's better to wait for it on the stock exchange while the price will be chaeper. Just be patient.

I think it will a big ICO - but some NEWS Sources speaking bad about ICO´s and also for the Telegram ICO - thats not good but doesn´t matter. If Telegram doe an ICO i will invest in it

Yes, This will be gonna be a big ICO. Telegrams is known already and very popular, and having an ICO ang being traded on exchanges is a great achievement on thir company. They can improved their services also. I am eager to invest also in ther planned ICO. Hope it will come true.

I think that ICO is going to be a bomb. We all know Durov is a true professional with all his projects. His sites are working well and have a huge audience. That ICO is going to be 100% reliable, you woun't loose your money on that investments. I'm waiting the ICo would reach a softcap in a couple of days after the ICO start, maybe even the hardcap.

I think that the telegram will collect the largest sum of all the ICO's that were held earlier.

All the same, Pasha is a brilliant entrepreneur. And let's not forget that almost all crypto-currency community uses telegrams.

In general, I will in any case participate in his ICO. Although they will make a very large hardcap.

The ICO of Telegram could upset and at the same time open this sector to other global giants, I think it's a very positive thing for the whole industry

It will be the largest ICO yet, and way oversubscribed. I'll pass on this

Two days before, Techcrunch reported that Telegram was planning a multi-billion dollar ICO.

The proposed blockchain network is called "Telegram Open Network” (TON) & the whitepaper was accessed by the Techcrunch team.

What do you guys think?

Will it become the 'third generation’ blockchain network after Bitcoin & Ethereum?
When I first saw the news, I was so excited to the extent that the first thing I looked for is the kick off date. I guess they already have the market waiting for it. All they need to do is do prepare and present a pleasant product.

Theres no doubt on that but it cant really stop me making investment on it. This would really be a good investment for sure.

its too early to tell, but if telegram wants to launch an ico well it is up to them, they are capable as telegram is one of the best platform to use in ico for communicating with bounties and ico projects and crowd sale, and i think telegram prove their selves that they are really incapability.

in my opinion it is a great idea to use your own token for telegrams, this will allow users to exchange crypto currency directly in the telegram application

If this is true (and I think it is) is very good news.
I think the project is very good and really has a chance to become something big.

Well, this post looks exactly like the post I made on Steemit a couple of days back. Wait, actually you've plagiarised it, haha!!

Seems a lot of people here want to help make the telegram project ICO a success, that's good news but we need a good source of information about this, Don't be so excited people. Plan is always subject to change. Better wait the official announcement for it.

if that happens I'm pretty sure it will be a huge success and there is no doubt about that. Telegram has a lot of supporters and many users for sure they will have more investors and many users will wait for that ICO project. Well, let's just see and wait for their official announcement and I'm sure many users will participate on that project when it's officially launch.

I doubt this until I get the official news. I think this is a great idea but nothing is certain.
